December 31, 2016:
Today we had the last long walk of this year with Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu), the "silvester" walk in the fields. Sunshine, minus degrees, rime, two dogs which were full of energy, and the camera was with us. The pictures are in the Photo Gallery of Jag Junior (grown-up) and Jebelle (grown-up) as well as in their common album.

December 4, 2016:
Today after short incurable illness Marvin (Caipirinha's LEE MARVIN) has gone over the Rainbow Bridge at 11:30 a.m. way too young at the age of nearly 8 years. At 2:00 p.m. the vet should have come, but the small weak body did not make it anymore. Marvin fell asleep quietly in the middle of his 4 and 2 legged family.
RIP little Angel, you will be missed here very much.

Only 8 days after her 14th birthday Gizmo (JESMINA GIZMO Kasiterit) went over the Rainbow Bridge. The memories of a very special girl are forever in our hearts, but the pain about her loss will never disappear completely. Again a candle has been lit.
October 20/25, 2016:
On Ocotber 20, 1992, Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) was born, a daughter of our very first Briard Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) and the dam of our B litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière. And on Ocotber 25, 1998, our Gizmo (JESMINA GIZMO Kasiterit) was born, the little mouse with the heart of a lion. We are thinking of both the girls and have lit a candle for each of this darling.
October 20, 2016:
Today Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, SOM) celebrates his 12th birthday. All the very best for this sweet little boy, who should have actually been here for only one year. May he spend many more healthy years with us.
Als But when time had come to arrange his return to the USA he was not welcome to go back to his former owner - she wanted to have him neutered and placed immediately ..... to his FIFTH home at the age of not even 6 years. This was a no go for us, even more since Steel had settled in so nicely and had got trust. Therefore, he stayed and we are happy about that as the time he spends here since 2009 was an enrichment for him and us.
October 10, 2016:
The past four days Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) and I have spent in Hungary, where we spent once again some great days at our friend Judit. Reason for the long weekend was the three days international show in Komarom. Time had come for the next day to be presented in veteran class. After 4 years off from show rings Keanu was full of motivation and energy like ever, it was a pleasure to show him myself. On all three days he got the Exc. 1 and CAC in his class and was each time Best Veteran. The words of the judges about the 10 years boy fill us with pride. A heartfelt thank you to all three sirs for awarding Keanu with such excellent judging reports. With the results of these three days Keanu fulfills the conditions for the Hungarian Veteran Champion.
Luckily the weather had compassion with all of us, till Thursday evening it was raining. Though it was very cold (during one night we even had frost) we could warm up ourselves a bit in the sunshine besides the tents. We spent a good time at the show ground and could meet lots of friends again. All in all a very nice weekend.
As always a big thank you to our hostess Judit, who took lots of effort - as always - that we feel comfortable and have a great time in her house!

The birthday of a special dog is celebrated today. Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) is 10 years. A cheer for our most successful great boy. May he join us for many more years and remain healty as he always was.

The first Briard in this home was born on 10/01/1990: Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg. Needless to say that he is unforgotten, we have lit a candle in remembrance of him.
On 09/25/2000 our first Briard breeding female went over the Rainbow Bridge: ARWA Zevar CS, SchH1. She too is unforgotten and a candle has been lit for her.

Today Emily-Rose (Explicit's SHUT UP I'M STILL TALKING) celebrates her 3rd birthday. The most heartfelt congratulations to the cheerful little girl who always lives up to her name.
September 16, 2016:
On September 12, we got our pool delivered, in the afternoon of the next day it was placed, and we started immediatle to fill in some water for offering the dogs some fun during the last summer days. On September 14, time had come that Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) "inducted" the pool. The next day Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) and Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) hat their first tries in swimming. Keanu had fun, Ula was not too thrilled and happy when she was placed outside of water again. Today, according to weather forecast the last warm day, Jag Junior and Jebelle were again in the water and had lots of fun.
Of both of the Briards there are some photos which are found in the Photo Galleries Jag Junior - grown-up, Jebelle - grown-up and Water Games Jag & Jebelle.
Some pictures from the beginning of the works concerning the pool until placing it are in the newly setup Photo Gallery Pool Construction.

It does not end with the memories of wonderful four-pawed family members, which are so very much missed: Marko was 21 years ago the first one of our dog crew at the age of 7,5 years to go over the Rainbow Bridge. The glow of a candle shines for him ...... his place in the heart can never be filled ......

Again memories: Today would be the birthday of Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid). To let her know that she is unforgotten, we have lit a candle.

Today in the evening a new Champion came home: Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) was awarded the Hungarian Veteran Champion with the two national shows in Velence/HU today. She is the first Veteran Champion in this house.
The weather was perfect, both shows (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) were greatly organized. Together with our friend Judit, where Ula and I had spent the time since yesterday noon and also the night, and with her friend Emoke we spent a great day in Velence. Hopefully we can repeat that soon.

It is 13 years ago, that Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) went to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. She is also unforgotten - by us as her first owners and by the owners where she lived afte the birth of her daughter Batida together with her. A candle shows her that we think about her.

With big regret of Gaja, Boris and of course also of us, unfortunately it did not work out that Porsche has his new home in Slovenia. LeeRoy is too dominant and Porsche could not handle that (he did not defend himself, but was only scared). So Boris brought him back to us today. What a pity, this would have been the perfect home.

Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) does not want to swim - we wanted to do him a favor for having an easy muscle training. Ok, we removed water from the pool and now he can "water walk", which is lots of fun for him. So there are also new photos of him in his Photo Gallery Jag - grown-up.
July 23, 2016:
Today Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA), Porsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) and I drove to Slovenia to Gaja, Boris and their dogs LeeRoy (Caipirinha's LEEROY LOOMES) and Merkaba gefahren. Gaja was interested in Porsche and wanted to give him a loving home. The meeting of the three boys was great, all three were absolutely calm and friendly to each other. We spent some nice hours together, and it was wonderful to meet Ula's son LeeRoy again after many years.
Full of hope that Porsche finally has a great loving home, Ula and I drove home. Some few photos of Porsche are now in the Photo Gallery P litter.

Today our last Briard litter, the K litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière, celebrates the 10th birthday. All the very best to Chili (KANDIS CHILI), Grisu (KALAHARI GRISU) and to our Courage (Champ. KAHLUA). Unfortunately we have lost contact to the owners of Heart (KEY-TO-MY-HEART - in the USA) and Chica (K'QUIERES - in Belgium). Kiara (KAIPIRINHA) unfortunately passed already on 12/17/2014 at the age of only 8.5 years. For her we have lit a candle.

She is still very much missed. And we also think about her five siblings (E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière - born 05/18/1999). For all of them a candle has been lit.

Today is another day of remembrance:
14 years ago the G litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born. We know that three of these kids (Gus Gillespie "Lt. Gustl", Graffiti Snap "Graffiti" and Gaultier's Galaxie "Lexi") have already gone over the Rainbow Bridge to their dam Oh-Lala (Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille). About Gucci's Surprise "Lara", Gros Bisou "Bisou" and G'Aysha Blonde "Aysha" we know nothing, and therefore wish them a very Happy Birthday. For the other three and their mother we have lit a candle. They are all unforgotten - from their owners and from us, and the memories of wonderful Briards will live forever.
And it would be the birthday of Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) who is waiting for us with all the others from here on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
We are still sad that this sweet boy was only granted nearly one year with affection, love and emotional security in our pack. But even though he was only for such a short time with us, we will carry the memories forever in our hearts.

February 21, 2016:
The show season has started for us. We are back from Hungary with some nice success and after a great weekend with friends. For the first time Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) has been shown in veteran classe, after 6 years and 8 days again in the ring, and she rocked: excellent 1, CAC and Best Veteran. The words from the judge: good shape, great condition, nice movement and wonderful bite (with 11 years in front and back still complete, which is rare in hairless). Lots of thanks to Iveta Vojtekova for the kind words about our sweet Ula. In the veteran BIS ring Ula did not get a placement but she could show all that she absolutely has no problems to keep perfectly speed behind a Husky and in front of an Irish Wolf. So, a great success of which we are very proud. Ula's breeder for sure is also proud and we hope that some time this year she can see the girl live. Anyway, the judge promised us to tell her breeder how great Ula looks like. Ula and I will try to go for the Hungarian Veteran Champion.
Since Friday we spent the weekend with our dear friend Judit, her mother and both their dogs Poli (Yorkshire Terrier - 10 years) and Shuba (Puli - 15 years), and we enjoyed it very much. A heartfelt thank you for the wonderful hospitality and the great time together. Hopefully we meet again soon.
Judit and her mother were immediately friends with Ula, and therewith, a neat photo from Judit's mother and Ula was taken before leaving.

During the week we have received nice photos of Ula's son LeeRoy Loomes, which are now found in the Photo Gallery L litter. Thanks to Gaja that frequently she pleases us with pics of our offspring.

On Valentins's Day it was time for brushing Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu). And after that both were allowed to toll around and play in the yard. The one who loves our Briards so very much (probably because they have the same long hair). Secret brings so much fun and joy to our home. I cannot thank her breeder Theresa enough that she allowed to have this girl here. And also for her we wish many, many healthy years with us.

One of my very special Chinese Crested, who means very much to me, who came here only at the age of 15 months by pure chance or coincidence. The foundation girl of our Chinese Crested breeding, the dam of two litters for her breeder and the dam of our L litter and N litter. My sincere wish is that Ula remains healthy and owns us for many more years. Three new photos which have been taken in a session at the occasion of the birthday, are now in Ula's Photo Gallery.
