Today our Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) celebrates his 13^th birthday. We know this will be his last birthday and his last Christmas as he is already very week ...... mainly caused by arthritis in one of his ellbows. But as he is still walking around and lively, grabbing his toys from time to time, we are not yet ready to let the boy go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. A very heartfellt Happy Birthday to the very last kid out of our unique and still so very much missed Yazoo (Sél. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC). May we be owned by him for some more nice weeks.

Great news from Germany: Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) today - on the Austrian National Day - gave birth to her first puppies - 4 males and 1 female.

Huge congratulations to her owner and our friend Anne (kennel von Shinbashi). All agog with curiosity and interest we will follow the growing up of the small ones, and maybe there will be a grandchild out of our Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) and our Keanu (Multi-Champ WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) for us. All the very best for Needy and her sweet puppies!

4 October - in Austria "celebrated" as World Animal Welfare Day: On this day in 1997 our Briard singleton puppy BATIDA DE COCO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born. This B litter of our kennel was a "special litter": 2100 miles to the stud and back home, c-section on day 65, dam spayed from the vet at the c-section without our knowledge, full stud fee collected by the stud owner, ...... but for us it was still a "win" because Batida was the very first grey (born black) puppy in Austrian Briard breeding history.

Batida had a great life at dear friends of us who often told and showed us that this girl was highly intelligent: she taught the owner how to go tracking, she climbed up AND DOWN spiral stair cases, ...... They always said as a singleton she got the intelligence of the amount of pups in a full litter. She had a wonderful life full of joy, fun and love - for some years together with her mother Arwa B. and a boy of our E litter, and finally alone for 5 years (after her dam had passed in August 2003 and her friend Einstein in September 2006). On August 18, 2011, at the age of nearly 14 years she passed and left a big hole in the hearts of her owners and her breeders. A candle has been lit in memory of this special Briard girl.

It would be the birthday of our very first Briard Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) ...... A candle has been lit in memory of a great family member on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

September 30, 2013:

We had show success again with one of our offspring boys: On September 28, Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) attended the CACIB show in Arad/Romania, where he went out of the ring with Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB, BOB and being Transilvania Winner 2013 ...... and he finished his third championship. Our boy is now also Beauty Champion of Romania. Thanks a lot to judge Katalin Kiss for these great results and for the photo she sent us.

At the club show and the second CACIB show Maverick left the ring each time with Exc. 2 Res. CAC.

It was once again a great weekend with our friends Melinda, Alina and Marius as well as new friends, with who we had a great time and lots of fun. Alina had made a reservation for all of us in a beautiful hotel where dogs were welcome, were we had enough grass area for walking the dogs, and where we were served gorgeous specialties of the country each evening. We are very much looking forward to our next coming together.

Great show success of one of the offspring from here: Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY "Needy" was CAC Club, CAC VDH, CACIB, BOS and Winner Rostock at the international show in Rostock/Germany. Congratulations to her owner Annerose Demski and thanks for the pretty collage she made after that success.

Two birthdays: On 14 July Fidji (FIDJII BLUE Dandy mate) was 6 years and on 31 July Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) turned 5 years. Happy Birthday to our girls

July 29, 2013:

We are back home from a very successful show weekend in Hungary. On July 27/28 two of our dogs were shown at the double CACIB shows in Debrecen, this time owner handled resp. breeder/owner handled. Maverick (Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) gained Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOB on the first day and on the second day he got Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOS. We have another Champion now, the boy finished Hungary. It is his second Championship after having been shown only 10 times. Needless to say that we are mighty about the success of our own bred boy.

Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) got Exc. 1, CAC and Res. CACIB on both days and finished her Hungarian Championship already on the first day. This is her 5^th title at the age of 2 years and 4 months.

Thanks to the honorable judges Lokodi Zsolt and Christian Stefanescu for the great results.

And outside of the show rings it was one of the nicest show weekends this year, spent with dear Melinda and some great new friends. Nice chats, great dinner and a funny time. Hopefully we can repeat this soon.

After 16 great days in the USA I am back again. The joy about my arrival after more than two week of all the 4-pawed family members was big.

On May 13, I had arrived in New Orleans at my friend Tiffany, who had invited me to spend my holiday with her in her home. My surprise arrival gift was the musical Wicked already on May 14 - awesome and unforgettable. I was also spoiled with nail studio and hair dresser on May 14 and 15.

On May 16, Tiffany and I were off from New Orleans via Houston to the National of the American Chinese Crested Club to Oklahoma City. Finally I could get to know long time internet friends personally, especially Terry (We Say It In Stitches and the first owner of our Keanu) and her husband David, Theresa (the breeder of Secret) and her husband Harry, Linda (Reil's Texas Cresteds), Echo, Nancy (Puttin' On The Dog Designs & We Say It In Stitches), Erin (Presenting Chinese Cresteds), Michele (Gracieux Chinese Crested), Tammy (she was one of Keanu's professional handlers), Bev (Dokkum Cresteds) and her husband Gary and some more.

It was also nice for me to get to know the dogs of all these friends, respectively some of them. Especially Theresa's dogs Little T. (Secret's sire), Mimi and Ring-A-Ding thrilled me, and of course the sweet little poodle Tator with her heart like a lion, but the others are of course also great. Little T. is so similar to Keanu and Ring-A-Ding could be a litter mate to Maverick. The girl which Echo had with her, Insoo, is a real great personality, Erin's Juicy (also bred by Theresa) is a pretty girl and from TerryRemy the Chihuahua is dear to my heart. But I could also meet friends which I had already got to know in 2009 and 2010: Nancy, Deb, Martha, Mercedes, Sandra, ...... We spent four great days together and had an awesome time besides chatting about our dogs. And of course some things have been bought which we cannot get here. I'm especially grateful for the cover which Nancy made for our show crate:

As always after USA visits I needed a second suitcase for going home.

I was very proud to attend the win of the Best In Show girl: she is a daughter of Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, SOM) who lives with us. Already a day prior to our arrival this girl was Winner of the Top 20. Even though this female was born while Steel did not yet live with us, the wins of Trinity have touched me very much, and it was great to get to know her owners and her professional handler. From ACCC I also got the diploma for the title Sire Of Merit (SOM) of Steel, which he gained 2010 when he was already in Austria. Thanks to Susan Miller who organized that.

The few days with great friends were over too fast and on May 20, Tiffany and I flew back to New Orleans (with some trouble and major delay because of the terrible tornado in the afternoon). I could spend some great summer days there and got to know some of Tiffany's family members (I do know her mother Jackie already since 2010). Furthermore, I attended my first boat tour, visited the zoo, had sight seeing tour through New Orleans and neighborhood as well as visited some of the world famous cemeteries in New Orleans. The food during all the time was just wonderful, and for the first time in my life I had crawfish and crabs.

A dream also came true ...... a new tattoo ...... of one having been bred here ...... Maverick (Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). Kenny Holland from Downtown Tattoos in New Orleans is an awesome artist and I am forever grateful for his 4 hours "work". The tattoo is really perfect and a mirror picture of the photo which I had with me as a template.

During being absent there were two birthdays at home: Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO) was eight years on May 21 and Maverick turned two years on May 26 - like his sibbling Tanner in Canada and Needy & Toulouse in Germany. Thank internet the birthday greetings were sent even over that distance in time.

As always holiday is over way too fast and on 28 May, New Orleans local time 7:50 a.m. my trip back home started via Detroit to New York, und from there local time 5:40 p.m. direction Vienna, where I arrived May 29 in the morning before 8 a.m.

I thank Tiffany and her partner Larry for the indescribable great hospitality and for everything they did for and with me. And thanks to Theresa, Harry, Terry, David, Echo, Nancy and Erin for the great time I could spend with them. We really have to rerun this.

Since today in the evening Maverick (Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) is back from his show marathon in Zadar/HR (4 international shows), and we are very pleased with the results: 1st day Exc. 3, 2nd day BOB (out of 26 dogs) and short listed in the group, 3rd day BOB (out of 26 dogs), and 4th day Res. CAC. Thanks to Dorka for the handling and the care over the past 12 days.

At the occasion of the show event in Zadar/HR we arranged for a professional photo shooting of both our dogs there. On 3 May some beautiful pics were taken which are now in the Photo Gallery: You can see them in the album Maverick Photo Session and Memy Photo Session. May 4, 2013:

Today the Austrian Toy Breed Club published the awards for the competition "Best Show Dog 2012" and we can be so very proud about the achievements for two of our dogs: Memy (Multi-Champ. INDREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) is really LIVING UP TO HER NAME. In her very first show season she reached the top of the ladder to success out of intermediate class and was awarded Best Show Dog Toy Breeds 2012 (out of 12 breeds) and is No. 1 Chinese Crested Austria 2012. Thanks so much to my wonderful handler Dorka who made all this possible, and thanks of course to all the judges for their wonderful ratings of this little girl. Thanks also to her breeder Annerose Demski for the trust to give us this stunning girl.

Our wonderful boy Keanu (Multi-Champ. WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) was awarded Second Best Show Dog Toy Breeds 2012 and No. 2 Chinese Crested Austria 2012. Also this was only possible with Dorka, and also here thanks to all the judges for their awards for this stunning boy.

It is three years today that our wonderful girl Oh-Lala (Sél. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille) left to he other side of the Rainbow Bridge. In memory we have lit a candle.

With a heavy heart we had to say good-bye to sweet rescue boy Sambo today (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and let him go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge ...... only 5 days after his 12^th birthday. His legs did not want to carry him any longer, and he did not respond to the pain killers any more. How sad that we could not give him some more nice years in his new home. It was just nearly a year that he could live with us and the dog crew. Wish we could have done more. A candle has been lit.

Our Briard G litter (Briards de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) is 11 years today: Happy Birthday to Lara (Gucci's Surprise), Aysha (G'Aysha Blonde) and Bisou (Gros Bisou). We wish them all the very best, especially healthiness. For Gustl (Gus Gillespie), Lexi (Gaultier's Galaxie) and Graffiti Snap we have lit a candle in memory.

And it is the 12^th birthday of our rescue boy Sambo's (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu). He is already very tired. A heartfeld Happy Birthday to the sweet boy.

Today the championship certificate with diploma concrning Veteran Championship of Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) has arrived: Bosnia and Herzegovina. Only Republic Srpska is now missing.

Now it is official: today the Championship certificates and diplomas from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic Srpska for Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) were in the mailbox. Now only the ones of  Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED), which hopefully also come soon, are missing.

November 26, 2019:

The new treadmill which has been delivered yesterday is set up and working. There are videos of Jag Junior and Jebelle from their first runs on the treadmill. Now nothing excludes the muscle training of Jag Junior for whom the former  treadmill was too short. And when the weather is really bad not only the two Briards but also the Chinese Crested will be running on it. The speed can be gradually adjusted from 0,8 - 12 km/h, inclining and declining each 15 % is also possible. A real great part.

November 25, 2019:

Back home from the show weekend in Zagreb/HR with 2 international shows and the Club Specialty of the Toy Breed Club Zagreb with great results of Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). Even though the first international show was not as hoped, I am fully pleased. At the Club Specialty Maverick went Best Veteran, Veteran Club Winner and as a high point Veteran Best In Show Nr. 3. At the second international show Maverick  was Veteran Winner and Best Veteran. Now only one more title is mitting for the Croatian Veteran Championship, which we want to gain next year.

A nice weekend with dear friends was once agan over too fast, and our show season 2019 is also over now. Looking forward to 2020.

Sadly this shall not be, both are on the other side of the  Rainbow Bridge. I can only light a candle in memory of these two forever unforgotten darlings.

Today I brought the ashes of Naomi (DEJA VU NAOMII Dandy Mate) home to place her urn in the memorial corner besides the others and a pendant with ashes to the car besides the others. She is missed ......

One memorial day after the other. Today it is 22 years ago that the B litter of my kennel de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born, the singleton BATIDA DE COCO, the first grey born black in the history of Austrian Briard breeding. Unforgotten, forever in my heart. A candle has been lit for her.

Today a very special heart dog has birthday, but sadly it cannot be celebrated here. The light of a candle shall show Keanu (Multi-Champ. WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) that I am thinking of him, that he is forever unforgotten and left a big hole in my heart.

September 23, 2019:

Happiness and grief unfortunately sometimes go hand in hand. Today I had to say good-bye forever to Naomi (DEJA VU NAOMII Dandy Mate). At the age of 12 years and 8 months she walked to the other side of the  Rainbow Bridge. She was an uncomplicated, funny and true hairless girl. As she was unhappy at shows and missed plenty of teeth she was spayed the other time and could enjoy each day in the way she wanted. She will be missed - like the other ones are.

Today it is exactly one year that also  Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO) went on his last journey. For both a candle has been lit. Naomi will be cremated and when I get her urn she will be placed besides all the others which went already. At the moment I still don't have the energy to add a page for her to the memorial homepage.

September 22, 2019:

Back home from three shows in Arad/RO during this weekend (2 x international, 1 x national) with 2 dogs:  Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION). And again both were very successful. Maverick gained the  Veteran Championship of Romania and was Best Veteran in Show at the first international show.

Hippie gained the Beauty Championship of Romania and was BOB at the first international show. What a run for both of them..

The shows were wonderfully organized and the weather was great. The hotel lacked with several things but all in all it was ok and it could have been worse.

This time I was joined by my friend Edit from Hungary with whom I could already enjoy some nice hours after the World Dog Show 2018 in Amsterdam, She, too was successful with her junior male and came back home with a new Romanian Junior Champion.

September 9, 2019:

Last weekend there were four shows in Gradiska/BIH (2 x international, 1 x national and 1 Specialty Show Group 9). Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and Hippie (Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) participated and both were successful, both now fulfill all conditions for 2 championships each: Maverick for the Veteran Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well als for the Republic Srpska and Hippie for the Beauty Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well als for  the Republic Srpska. Maverick was three times Best Veteran, Hippie got 2 x CACIB, 2 x CAC, 3 x BOS and 1 x BOB.

Even though it rained on both days the shows were just great, totally well organized. Congratulations to the organizers and hats off! Many associations could take an example. We're coming again next year.

The time inbetween the shows was spent with our friends Claudia and her daughter Sandy and their dogs. We have again made new friends and met nice other people and friends.

The memorial days seem to take no end. 17 years ago my first tawmy Briard girl was born: Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid). Way too early - at the age of nearly 8 years - I had to say good-bye to her forever. A soul of a dog, I wish we had had more time together. The lit candle shall show her that she is unforgotten.

14 years ago this day was one of the blackest ones for me: my beloved Yazoo (BISS Sel. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) totally unexpected left forever, just a wee bit over 10 years young. She took a very big part of my heart with her. There were and are only few dogs here which have the same special place in my heart like she had. Yazoo, you are still so very much missed .......

Back home from the double CACIB show in Sárvár/Hungary, where Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinh's NEED 4SPEED) and Hippie (Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) had been shown. Maverick for the first time in veteran class and Hippie had her premiere in champion class. The veteran was achieved with Best Veteran and Hippie got a CAC on the first day and the Res. CAC on the second.

Except the rain on both days it was a nice show on spacious grounde where one can go to again.

It is 13 years ago that the last Briard litter of my kennel de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born. Most of the offspring have already gone over the Rainbow Bridge, of two I unfortunately don't know anything since years. A candle has been lit.

The first memorial day of Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, SOM) and it hurts as much as it did on the first day. When I close my eyes I see him like on the attached photo. That is how he always came running when I called him. When I open my eyes ......... I have only tears but no picture in front of me ......

A candle has been lit for the very much missed small boy.

Now it is official, today Certificate and Diploma were in the mailbox: On May 21, Hippie (Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) was awarded the title Beauty Champion Croatia. From now on she will be shown in Champion class.

Today a very special darling celebrates his 8^th birthday: Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). The most heartfelt congratulations to this stunning treasure, who had so much success in his show carreer and always made me proud. May we be granted many, many more years together.

All the very best also to his sibbling Tanner in Canada as well as Needy and Toulouse, of which unfortunately I don't know where they are.

It is one year ago that Porsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) passed only two days after his emergency surgery and only three days after his 4^th birthday. He is missed so much ...... a candle has been lit in memory of him.

And 20 years ago today my Briard E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born. The thoughts are with all six of this great breeding ...... and with their parents. The glow of the lit candle shall show them on the other side of the  Rainbow Bridge that I am thinking of them.

Whoopy (EXCUSE-MOI WHOOPY de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) has gone forever 10 years ago ...... only 2 days prior her 10^th birthday and a couple of days after her surgery (splint removing because of a tumor)- Of course a candle has been lit for her.

May 15,  2019:

P litter celebrates 5^th birthday. All the best to Prada and Pagani as well as to Porsche on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Concerning Prada and Pagani I unfortunately don't know if they are still where they came to in July 2017.

May 8, 2019:

Now all photos of the shows and the short holiday are arranged and in the corresponding photo albums: Hippie (Shows), from Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) there are two new videos in her Photo Gallery (the last two in the listing). The Show Results of Hippie (von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) have also been updated. The photos of the resort, the sight seeings and the homeward journey are in the newly setup album Short Holiday Croatia 2019.

May 2, 2019:

Time has come, the short holiday ends and after breakfast the car was packed and the homeward journey started. Again we made several rests but could travel well as also today the traffic was ok and the border controls not bad.

A big thank you goes to Susi for the nice company and especially that she participated in paying the costs of this trip. I hope she is ready to make such a tour again with me so that we can hertily laugh and she recounts great and incredibly stories of her working life. One thing is for sure: latest next year I will go there again, maybe even longer than this time. The leisure opportunities are great and one can really relax there in a great way.

This day is actually a very sad day for me: It is a year today that my beloved Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) has left me totally unexpected and went over the Rainbow Bridge. Every now and then I had tears in my eyes during driging home  hidden behind the sun glasses, because I miss this endearing boy so very much. I wish so very much that he was still here and would make me daily smile with his funny side. ......

May 1, 2019:

The most important first: A very Happy Birthday to the sweet, successful Hippie (von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) who celebrates her 2^nd birthday today. Of course she will get extra treats.

The show today was totaly the opposite of the previous days (not only for us): we left the ring with result very good, but I totally did not care because Hippie gained something with the last results of which I had never dared to dream of.

We spent some more time in a pub garden with Claudia and Sandy prior leave-takging. A big consolation is that in May I want to meet at least Sandy again. I am looking forward to that.

Today was the warmest day and therefore, Susi and I enjoyed some hours in the sunshine on the patio prior to driving to Zadar in the early evening to take a look at the historic city and to take more photos of our short holiday. The stroll through the city was beautiful and we shopped few things before we drove back to the resort. There we started packing a bit (Susi nearly all her stuff, me less), and then we decided before long to go to a pub - Ula joined us, Hippie preferred to sleep in the bed. Today we decided to have creps which were just delicious. I then packed my stuff till deep in the night while Susi went to bed. What a pity that tomorrow is departure. I could withstand here longer.

April 30, 2019:

Until now everything went perfectly with the shows ...... more than perfect: Hippie got at the recent 4 shows four times CAC and therewith fulfills the conditions for the title Croatian Beauty Champion. Furthermore she was twice Winners Bitch and three times BOS. I am overwhelmed, I had not expected such great success. Now she even has her first prospective entitlement for the title International Beauty Champion. The application for the Croatian Championship could be filled out, be paid and be submitted at the show ground. From tomorrow on, when Hippie is 2 years of age, she is entitled to bear this title.

The weather had also been on our side: even though it had heavily rained during two nights, once even with a heavy thunderstorm, it was dry during the days and partly sunny. Hippie and Ula enjoy the short vaccation as much as Susi and I do. The beach is very beautiful and spacious but we could have left the bathing clothes at home. With max. 16°C during the days we ran around and about in warm clothes - except in the show ring. Well, it could have been worse.

You can nearly buy everything on the areal of the Zaton Holiday Resort, and there are lots of restaurants and pub side by side. Until now we have eaten excellently, of course things which we don't want to pay for at home as too expensive.

We have found great new friends: Claudia and her daughter Sandy from Bavaria, who lived directly next to our mobile home. Both of them are really great and we daily spent lots of nice hours together, even until deep in the night and with lots of laughter. Besides that Sandy helped me a bit with the styling of Hippie, and I am incredibly thankful for that. I am looking forward to the next show where I am going to meet them again. Unfortunately they are already departing tomorrow as Sandy has to go to work on Friday. The last evening prior to our own departure Susi and I have to spend alone.

In the afternoon we drove to the little town Nin, have made a stroll through town, bought some souvenirs, had a coffee and took lots of photos. When I am back home I will set up a photo album of that short holiday, and of course photos of the shows will be updated.

April 26, 2019:

Today was departure for 7 days to Croatia with Hippie (von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) and her grandma Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) to the Zaton Holiday Resort for the five days show circuit Zadar. My friend Susi joins us.

Driving was comfortable and even though it was Friday there was less traffic on the roads and at the borders than I had thought. With four rests we drove with nice weather and it took us about 8 hours for the nearly 690 km. Unfortunately after our arrival it started raining heavily and we were not in the mood to undertake something. So we made ourself comfortable in the rented and spacious mobile home (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen fully equipped, living/dining area, TV and WiFi, big patio with big table and chairs as well as camping beds). Hippie was bathed and groomed to be pretty for tomorrow's firt show day - for the first time in intermediate class.

It is 5 shows during 5 days: 4 international and inbetween one national. The online information of the Croatian Kennel Club was excellent, and therefore we could already see on our arrival day at which time we had to be at the show ring each day. And the best: it did not even take us 10 minutes to walk to the show area. This way we could plan our free time well for shopping, strolling, beach visit and rides to points of interest. Only the weather had to be on our side.

April 25, 2019:

Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) got her stitches of the gallbladder surgery removed today. The scar was never swollen nor wet, and because our vet is great in stitching surgical scars, one will see nothing in one to two weeks. 

Ula is totally back to herself: she "talks" to me when she dislikes something, she only does what she wants, demands for attention persistently and is allowed to jump on the couch again. I am thrilled how fast and well she recoverd from her surgery at that age. Even eating the diet food nearly works perfectly now. On some days she even accepts the enzymes directly on the food.

In a month there will be another blood check as well as an x-ray to see how the liver values are and how the pancreas looks like. And because Ula is doing so well she is allowed to travel with Hippie (von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) and me to Croatia tomorrow, so that I can be sure that she gets her daily medication and also takes them. To prevent the risk of heartworm the vet gave her a spot-on.

April 22, 2019:

Today would be the birthday of Arwa Z. (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1). A candle has been lit for her. She is still so very much missed ......

April 20, 2019:

I have to get supplies of the liquid diet food from the clinic, as Ula prefers this at the moment mostly. She is rather picky at this point, wishes variety of food on the one side, and on the other side she likes the liquid most. The past two days have been an up and down concerning her medication: as soon as she smells the enzymes on her food she does not touch it. So now she gets everything - the enzymes, antibiotics, pain killer and a supplement for the liver with a syringe directly into her mouth immediately after eating. Else things went better and better each and every day with Ula. To let the vet see how she proceeds, she will join me.

April 18, 2019:

Today in the afternoon I could get Ula home. She made very good advancementsie and therefore, nothing spoke against a dismission from the clinic.

The joy about meeting each other again was big on both sides. Ula is tired but in good mood. Now she needs diet food which we got in the clinic, and for the pancreas she needs enzymes in the food or directly after eating, 10 days antibiotics and for 4 days pain killer. On April 25^th the stitches shall be removed.

April 17, 2019:

Ula is doing well according to the phone call of the clinic. If she continues this way I can go and pick her up tomorrow.

April 16, 2019:

At a health check last week it turned out that Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) has pancreatitis and problems with the gall bladder. Today the gall bladder will be removed and Ula will have to stay in the clinic for two to three days.

With mixed feelings I drove to the clinic with Ula: Scared that she is going to have problems with anesthesia with her over 14 years of age, but also the words of the vet in my ears that she has huge chances even at her age, that she will handle everything without complication.

   

With a heavy heart I left my special darling behind in the veterinary clinic and waited at home patienttly for the promised phone call of the vet in the evening. When the call came only good news were told to me: anasthesia handled perfectly, Ula walks already around and has even eaten - not by herself but she took everything that was offered to her by hand. Tmorrow noon I will be informed again.

April 14, 2019:

Oh-Lala (Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille) went to the other side of the  Rainbow Bridge 9 years ago. She is unforgotten and missed like on the first day. Also for her a candle has been lit.

April 13, 2019:

6 years ago Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) went over the Rainbow Bridge. A candle has been lit for him

April 8, 2019:

It is 18 years ago that Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) was born. He was the one which I rescued at the age of 11 years because he was not longer welcome at his owners.

And 17 years ago my Briard G litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born. Dam was the unforgotten Oh-Lala (Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille), sire was JOLLY JUMPER GRIS des Monts d'en Crauzille.

In remembrance of all of them a candle has been lit, so that on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge they can see that they are in my thoughts.

Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) celebrates her 8. birthday today. A heartfeld congratulation to the cuddle-mouse. According to shows she is a veteran since today, which she is not concerning body and soul.

This weekend I took part at a handling and grooming seminar under instructions of worldwide known handler Javier Gonzalez Mendikote in der Slowakei teil. Es war beeindruckend und sehr, sehr lehrreich. What an honor to learn under such a perons. Hopefully it is realizeable for me in the future to do everything right. ...... So many things to learn in just two days can overwhelm a bit. Lot of thanks to Javier for the effort, persistence and patience with all participants. When I meet him next time at a show I hope he is reasonably pleased with my "work".

She is the oldest in the house, and I am happy that she is doing so great. Admittedly she hears a bit less and begins to have a bad eyesight, but this does not hinder her to be happy and joyful every day, and to get her own way. Yes, she has become a bit demanding and stubborn, but this appertains to her at that age..

Today we received the DNA test results for Memy (INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi): she is prcd-PRA normal/clear and PLL normal/clear. Great!!! Congratulation to her breeder and owner Annerose.

November 22, 2011:

Back home from a visit in Germany after some great days at Annerose and her family, the two Ula x KeanukidsToulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE) and Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) as well as the great dogs of Anne. We are happy that "our two kids" have such a loving and great home, they have matured nicely, are high-spirited and happy and having nothing else in mind than playing all day long with their friends. Unfortunately the weather was so bad that no new photos could be taken. Maybe it works next time because this was definitely not the last visit at Anne.

On the flight home I was joined by Memy (INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi), who will now be with us for some time ...... as a playmate for our Maverick (Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and for showing her. A pretty female of right now 8 months, nice size with beautiful body building and a great sweet character ...... a real cuddling mouse.

Thank you for the great hospitality and the unforgettable days ...... ich have enjoyed each and every minute and can't wait to come again next year.

September 29, 2011:

Tanner (Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) has arrived our time evening safe and on time in Canada. All day long we followed his trip via the Lufthansa tracking system und could already see in the morning that departure was on time. Unfortunately customs matter lasted very long and so only before midnight he could be taken over by his owner. But the small guy was optimistic and full of joy when he was in his owner's arms. We were overwhelmed when we received the eMail that Tanner had left the airport.

The car trip of 415 kilometers to his new home sure was not that much bothering him after he had been on tour for 31.5 hours between Vienna Airport and his destination. Once again all the very best for little Tanner and his owner!

Now we are anxious for the first "report" and the first photos from his new home.

Besides this good news we had to receive bad ones as well: our hearts are heavy because of Lynda's loss of Celine (Champ. CELINE de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) at the age of 13,5 years. Celine was the last one of our C litter. A candle has been lit and our thoughts are with Lynda, who gave this pretty girl a most wonderful loving home during all the years. Thanks Lynda ......

September 28, 2011:

Today it was time for the farewell of the last puppy of the N litter: Tanner (Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT). The small guy started his trip to Canada. A long journey, he will only be at his destination tomorrow evening our time as he has to spend the night in Frankfurt. Luckily the animal lounge there is a great place for a stopover. At 4:30 p.m. I had to hand over the travel crate with Walker ...... that was not easy as we grew very fond of him. The last photos prior to his long trip are in the Photo Gallery / Ula's puppies with Keanu.

Have a safe and sound trip little man, and we wish you all the very best for your future, as well as lots of joy and success to your owner. Hopefully we will receive lots of photos of Tanner so that we can follow your growing up.

This way we want to thank his owner once again very much for the trust in our small kennel!

September 25, 2011:

Back from the International (Bundessieger) Show in Tulln/A with great success: Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) now fulfills the conditions for his third championship within a year and a few days - International Beauty Champion (FCI), he went Bundessieger 2011 got the BOB and the Crufts Qualification. Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER) has been shown for the first time in Austria and also came back home with a nice success. A wonderful day with dear friends who were feverish with us and enjoyed the great success with us.

Of course our thank goes again to the handler Dorka who led Keanu with hard concurrence to the win. We also want to thank once again Radek, who made the beginning of the European show carreer with our boy, our dear friend Gabi who came back home with Best of Breed as well as group placements from any show where she handled Keanu, and all judges who gave our stunning boy such great ratings and titles.

Therewith, Keanu has achieved as the second in this horde the success of our Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA), but within a way shorter time. We are mighty proud of the parents of our pretty N litter.

And a couple of days ago we have received from MEOE the certificate/diploma about the Hungarian Beauty Championship of Keanu.

September 4 to 25, 2011:

Our thoughts are with those who left already to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge: CHAOS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière (3 March 1998 - 4 September 2007), EINSTEIN Noir de la Maison du Garde-Barrière (18 May 1999 - 6 September 2006), Marko (4 March 1988 - 15 September 1995), and ARWA Zevar CZ (22 April 1989 - 25 September 2000). We have lit candles for these wonderful and truely missed family members.

September 3, 2011:

From Germany we have received every now and then during the past weeks great photos from Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) and Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE). These photos have been put to the Photo Gallery / Ula's puppies with Keanu. They are doing great and please their owner very much. Lots of thanks to Annerose that she lets us see frequently how good the two are doing and how they mature.

In the meantime it happened that also for Tanner (Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) a great new home has been found: on September 28 he is going to fly to Canada, and his new owner can't wait that the boy arrives. We thank another owner of offspring from here for the trust in our kennel!

During the past weekend Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) has been at the double CACIB show in Debrecen/HU and came back home with great results ...... therewith he fulfills all conditions for a new championship ...... the second European country where he is Champion ...... Hungarian Beauty Champion. Super! Within only one year with few show appearances two championships! A warm thank you to Dorka who handled Keanu so wonderfully and therewith brought him to his wins and the next title.

We have lit candles for our beloved that are already on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge ....... it is 5 years (August 23) that Yazoo (Sél. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) left us ...... it is 13 years (August 25) that Chivas (CHIVAS REGAL de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) died with not even 6 months of age ...... it is 8 years (August 27) that Arwa (ARWA Betkin dvor) left her owners ...... and it would be the birthday (August 30) of our darling Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid). We miss them all as if it was yesterday ......

August 19, 2011:

Today we got the sad information that yesterday Batida (BATIDA DE COCO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) passed away to follow her parents, ancestors and friends to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Another wonderful furry friend that was born here is now a "Guardian Brie-Angel". Our heart goes out to Sylvia and Rudi, who have given this single puppy of our B litter such a wonderful loving home, where this sweet girl could reach an age of nearly 14 years. We are grateful for the great life that Batida had in her home.

August 15, 2011:

We celebrate another birthday: today our Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) is 3 years of age. Happy Birthday to our funny girl, and hey Gucci, make sure that we don't forget to spoil you very much today!

August 14, 2011:

The first two puppies out of our N litter have left their birth place yesterday and started their long tour of about 1000 kilometers early in the evening. Female Needless 2Say and her brother Nothing 2Lose have arrived today in the morning safe and with good mood in their new home.

Both are doing great, they were calm during the trip, have already eaten well, got their first contact with the new family members and have already found a playmate in the same age. We are looking forward to the first photos and will set up a photo album for these two and their family when time has come.

Lots of thanks to the new owner for having decided to take two dogs of our small young kennel, thanks for the trust! And our thanks also goes to Eric who took the effort to drive so far for bringing the two little rascals safe to their destination.

The two brothers Nutbush City Limit "Walker" and Need 4Speed "Maverick" missed the siblings yesterday evening, but today they are as ever since: very bright, enterprising and full of high spirits.

August 8, 2011:

Finally we have some nice stacking photos from our N litter, but also cute fun pics. Thanks to our friend Jutta who came here for the weekend and took so many pictures of the puppies. We also could properly check the teeth and all the pups have scissors bite right now. There are 3 pups with 6/6 and 2/2 and only one pup with 5/6 and 2/2.

August 4, 2011:

Waiting is over ...... today the PLL results of our N litter were published by OFA. Proceeding the tests was fast after the lab had received the kits on July 25. We can be pleased with the results: we have 3 clear (2/1) and only 1 carrier (1/0). Details are in our site Breeding / Chinese Crested. Now we just need to wait to have the original certificates in the mailbox, but at least the results can be added to the pedigrees, which is nice for the owners of the puppies.

Today the puppies also had a new adventure: collars and leads plus walking a bit outside on the pavement besides our garden. They were great and we are proud: no issues at all against the new "clothing". Hopefully coming weekend we can take some nice photos of the crew when we have a dear friend coming here to spend two days with us.

Again birthday celebration: our Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) is three years today. Happy Birthday to our vivacious and so very much cuddly black mouse. We will spoil you very much today and make you a most wonderful day.

The weather has been bad (rain and/or storm as well as rather cool) during the past two weeks nearly each day, so our puppies could not be outside in the garden much until now. Finally on July 27 and today there was sunshine and dry weather and they could enjoy their "kindergarten".

This was an exciting day for our puppies: the first long car ride, the first vaccination, implantation of microchip and PLL genetical test. They were so great, even after all that procedure they played in the vet clinic while all the paperwork was done as if nothing unusual had happened!

Back home from the World Dog Show in Paris at the right time to celebrate the birthday of our Courage and our K litterde la Maison du Garde-Barrière. They are 5 years young today. A very heartfelt HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chica (K'QUIERES de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), Grisu (KALAHARI de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), Kita (KEY-TO-MY-HEART de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), Kiara (KAIPIRINHA de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), Chili (KANDIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) and our Courage (Champ. KAHLUA de la Maison du Garde-Barrière). We send you lots of hugs and kisses!!! Our thoughts are also with their great parents Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid) and Talis (Champ. Sél. TALISMANIK de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) who are already on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge and truely missed by their owners.

The past week was a most wonderful week with my very best Briard friend Corinne, her wonderful family and her stunning dogs. It was great to meet Corinne again after many years, to spend some days with some of her good friends and to be with all the dogs - the ones I knew already and some gorgeous new ones. I could also meet Zabou's sister Asta and looking at her brought tears to my eyes because I saw the face of my wonderful girl that is missed so very much. Sharing the moment when Corinne's breeding group was placed first at the World Dog Show was another very emotional moment and will not be forgotten.

Thanks Corinne for your hospitality and for the special memories I could take home. I hope we need not wait for our next meeting as long as we had to for this one.

July 3, 2011:

The puppies are in week 6 and pics have been taken again. Since yesterday they are in the puppy penn in the living room and they like it. Now they finally get to know all the other dogs here in the house and are confronted with new noise. They now also eat already puppy food in goat milk four times a day. Needless 2Say, the female has already lots of teeth, the other ones are in the process that teeth break through now, and the nails had to be cut already today.

Now it is official: Keanu (Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) has been awarded the title Croatian Beauty Champion on May 23, 2011. Within shortest time the boy finished his first European country.

Thanks again to our friend Gabi for handling him so perfectly to this success, and thanks to all the judges who made this Championship possible.

June 25, 2011:

Our N litter is now in week 5 and they are turning to be real dogs now.

Lots of pictures have been taken and some have been uploaded to the Photo Gallery / Ula's puppies with Keanu.

Gaya, the owner of LeeRoy Loomes has also sent us new photos again and they are now in the Photo Gallery / Ula's puppies. LeeRoy enjoys summer and also goes into the pool. A heartfelt thank you to Gaya, we are always pleased when pictures of this sweet boy are coming.

June 20, 2011:

The puppies are now 25 days and more and more active. They also started to eat puppy food soaked in goat milk and really like it.

May 22, 2011:

This weekend Keanu (Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) could continue with his show success. The double CACIB show in Varazdin/HR brought great results: yesterday CAC, CACIB, BOB as well as BOG3 and today CAC, CACIB and BOB. Thanks a lot to the judges for the gorgeous judgements and placements and of course also to our friend Gabi, who has handled Keanu for repeated times so wonderful.

Above all we are happy that now Keanu fulfills all conditions for the title Croatian Beauty Champion and therewith has got his first European Championship so fast. We are mighty proud of our boy!

With her result Zoey fulfills all conditions for the breeding confirmation concerning show results and Keanu has gained the full breeding confirmation in Austria.

Yesterday was National Show in Rovinj/HR. Our Keanu (Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) came back home with a great success: Placed 3rd in Group 9. A heartfelt thank you to our friend Gabi that she took the boy with her on tour and handled him to such a nice result. We are proud of both.

Yesterday was opening of the Austrian show season with the International Show in Graz. Three dogs from here as well as a female of our last litter were entered: Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) and Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) for the necessary results concerning breeding confirmation, Keanu (Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) with première in Austria's show rings as well as also for the first show result concerning breeding confirmation in Austria and Tubbs (Caipirinha's MIAMI VICE), also for the very first time in the show ring, handled by her owner Johanna.

Great results: Tubbs was Junior Winner, Gucci now fulfills the conditions for the breeding confirmation and Zoey has done her first step towards it. The coronation of the day was Keanu: Exc. 1 CACA (Class Winner) CACIB (Winners Dog) BOB. We had not expected such a wonderful result. This dog can present himself gorgeously as well as can he really run and, therewith, showed how an excellent representor of the breed can and should move. A heartfelt thank you to our friend Gabi for the great handling and thanks to the judge who judged strict but most fair and correct! Congratulation to Johanna for the great result right at the first show of Tubbs. In the Photo Gallery/Jaris' puppies there are two new pictures from Tubbs with her first cup.

A wonderful day indeed, and once again we met dear friends and got to know new people. We look forward to a next reunion.

I'm angry, pissed off and sad: the last exhibitions of this season fell victim to the corona lockdown that will apply in Austria from today. Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and Hippie (Multi-Champ. From Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) should have taken part in the show marathon in Montenegro in a few days. Shows entered, dogs partly prepared, accommodations booked, co-passenger organized, car partly packed, route planned, ...... For Hippie there was the chance of 7 further championship titles and for Mamacita of her first championship - she should make her first appearance in the intermediate class. And not only that: after 7 months I should meet my friend Claudia again and after two 2 years I should finally meet her daughter Sandy again. It’s really to drive out of the skin. Who knows when this opportunity will arise again. It should have been the highlight of the year at the end of the show season.

What last lasts is finally good: after nearly four months of waiting and after three unanswered requests today the confirmation of the Slovenian Beauty Champion of Hippie (Multi-Champ von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATON) as well as a beautiful rosette was in the mailbox. Thanks to the intervention of the President of the Slovenian Cynologist Association, it did not even take a week. There had been an error in the assignment of my payment.

It is a remembrance day ...... Today, a year ago, Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) was called on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. The thoughts of her and looking at photos or videos still bring tears in my eyes. I even state myself that I call her name when I let the dogs to the garden. I made this picture today for her. The sweet mouse is unforgotten and will always stay. Luckily, there are still her son Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED)  and her granddaughter Hippie (Multi-Champ von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATON) in the house, which put me up and bring joy to me each and every day.

Today I received confirmed championships and corresponding certificates, namely the Serbian Junior Champion from Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and the Serbian Beauty Champion from Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION). Now the title Grand-Champion Serbia for Hippie can be applied for. The confirmations and certificates can be seen on the introductory pages of the two girls and on their page about the show successes.

October 23, 2021:

Today I was supposed to be at the international show in Komarom/HU with Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION). I wanted to try to get the Hungarian Junior Champion with Mamacita and another (but not necessary) result for the Hungarian Grand Champion with Hippie. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen that you did not foresee or expect (a minor stroke of a family member and thus hospitalization one day before the planned departure on Friday). So the three of us could not go on the trip because no one was available for the dogs that stayed at home. Now the horse is out of the barn for Mamacita to achieve a second youth champion title. It's sad, I hadn't imagined the end of our show season like this.

October 25^th is the birthday of Gizmo (JESMINA GIZMO Kasiterit).

On October 20^th is the birthday of Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) and Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY SOM).

October 18, 2021:

A successful show weekend lies behind Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION). We were in Serbia and participated in the two international shows in Turija (October 16) and Backa Topola (October 17). Hippie received the CAC on both days and the Res. CACIB on the 2^nd day. Mamacita was Junior Winner on both days and Best Junior (JBOB) on the 2^nd day.

Hippie is therefore Serbian Beauty Champion and also fulfills the conditions for the Serbian Grand Champion, Mamacita is now Serbian Junior Champion.

Very nice show grounds, great organization, a very friendly organization team, ...... simply great. Shows that one would like to visit again. It rained on Saturday night, but by the time judging started, the sun came through and it was pleasantly warm. No more rain and therefore sunny and warm on the second day. And again I got to know nice people and meet friends. An exhibition weekend that I will remember for a long time.

Even if the accommodation was an absolute impertinence, we stayed until Monday morning in order to avoid long traffic jams at the borders in the evening after the show or to go well rested on the journey of almost 500 km. As I then found out from friends, that was a great decision, because they had been on the border from Serbia to Hungary for more than three hours. For me it was only half an hour on Monday, the other borders were totally free.

October 4^th would have been the birthday of Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor).

Another birthday would have been on October 3^rd: my shining star, my soul mate, my unique, my very special male Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) would have turned 15. There is still not a day when I don't have tears in my eyes when I think of him. When I close my eyes I see him, when I open my eyes I miss him ......

Sándor (Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) would have had his birthday on October 1^st.

And again a day full of memories and sadness: 21 years ago today, Arwa Z. (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1) left this world forever. She was such a sweet, lovable, friendly, grateful, ..... girl, the mother of my first Briard litter. Like everyone who has left, she is still indescribably absent. The glow of the lit candle shall show her that she is on my mind.

September 23, 2021:

It's been 3 years today since Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO), my first Chinese Crested, started the journey to cross the Rainbow Bridge. He's still missing, of course. A candle was lit for him.

September 19, 2021:

And again a show weekend with great success: On 18/19 September two national shows took place in Zalaegerszeg/HU on a great show ground. On the first day Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) left the ring with Junior Winner, Best Junior (JBOB), on the second day with Junior Winner. Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) received CAC and BOB on both days. I can hardly describe how happy I am about the success of my two great girls.

Congratulations to the organizers for the great show ground in the Aquapark.

And our accommodation, which was available to us from September 17^th to 19^th, was very nice and cozy. We spent a relaxing time outside the show. Photos of the accommodation with a natural garden can be found in a Facebook photo album. Many thanks to Alex that we were gosted so well in his guest house.

And a few more days of remembrance: on August 23, 16 years ago, my very special girl Yazoo (Sel. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) left forever. She is missed just as badly as on the first day.

On August 27, 18 years ago, Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

And on August 30th, Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid) would have had her birthday.

Of course, these two will also be unforgettable and will always have their place in my heart. A candle was lit for all three.

August 23, 2021:

Another show weekend is behind us. On 21/22 August two national shows took place in Vasszecseny/HU, namely the Gellen Tibor Memorial. We came home yesterday evening with great results: Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) received Junior Winner and BOS on the first day, and then a little bit more with Junior Winner, Best Junior (JBOB) and BOB on the second day. Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) walked out of the ring with CAC on both days. With the first of the two CACs she fulfills the conditions for the Hungarian Beauty Championship and has thus acquired her 7^th championship title. I am so proud of my two girls.

August 18, 2021:

A big day for the little ones here in the house: Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) is celebrating her first birthday. She is spoiled even more than usually and enjoys it. All the best for my very special girl. Since she moved in, it's been even more fun and lively here.

But it is also a memorial day with tears in my eyes: 10 years ago Batida (BATIDA DE COCO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) went over the Rainbow Bridge. A candle was lit for her.

This time I went to the Slovenian international exhibitions in Maribor and Pohorje with my friend Susi, Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION), Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) only being a companion. As always, we moved into our accommodation the day before the show to prepare everything in calmness. Incidentally, a very nice accommodation with a great restaurant included.

As in previous shows this year, the schedule published at least one day before the show is a great help in order not to spend too many hours on the show grounds in the summer temperatures. On Saturday we started shortly before 10 a.m., so after the time in the ring we were granted a lot of free time. Mamacita got Exc. 1, Junior Winner and Best Junior (Junior BOB).

Hippie got Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOS. With the class win, Hippie fulfills the conditions for the Slovenian Beauty Champion. She is now a sevenfold champion. We left the show grounds at 11 a.m. with great joy and pride. I didn't want to expect young Mamacita to wait until the ring of honor in the intense heat and humidity. It was now time to freak out in the hotel, eat and go for  walks.

Sunday went well, even though Mamacita did not manage to gain the Slovenian Youth Champion title, as this time she left the ring with Exc. 2. Hippie repeated her result from the previous day, so again Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOS. It was our turn from 11 a.m. and we could leave the show and Slovenia at 12 noon.

While I was at both shows with my two girls, Susi went for a walk with Maverick and then they both enjoyed the coolness in a pub where Maverick was pampered by Susi. We then met at the car on both days. I think Maverick really enjoyed taking time out from shows. So we have another successful and wonderful weekend behind us. Let's see how it goes on or whether this year is over again because there is another lockdown. Let us be surprised.

Happy Birthday to my K litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. My thoughts are especially with my so much missed Courage (Champ. KAHLUA de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), who left forever three and a half years ago.

July 11, 2021:

The next shows are behind us Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION), Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) and me: We were at the two international shows in Varazdin/HR. I am satisfied with the results, even if they could have been better. With the temperatures that prevailed, I am grateful to my two girls for doing so well. On the first day Mamacita got very good and Hippie left the ring with Exc. 1 without a title. The second day - although it was even hotter - Mamacita got Exc. 2 and Hippie Exc. 1, CAC and CACIB.

We lived in a small holiday home a bit away from Varazdin and were able to spend wonderful hours there before and after the shows: great views from the mountain, peace and quiet, lots of shade and a nice area to go for walks. The hosts were very warm people who used to be dog owners themselves and didn't charge any extra fees for my dogs. On arrival there was a tour through the house with an explanation of all devices and then a soft drink on the shady terrace. I urgently needed this relaxation after waiting at the border from Hungary to Croatia for more than an hour. Should I come to this area again, I absolutely have to check if this accommodation is available.

July 9, 2021:

It's been three years since little, sweet Steel (Champ. Silverbluff STEEL KING LEGACY, SOM) crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Unforgettable and forever in a special place in my heart. A candle has been lit for him, of course.

He was a very special male: when he was almost five years old, he came to me after he had already been with four owners where he had been kept in a kennel or dog room. Already at the airport when we took off from the USA, the inaccessible male took confidence in me and enjoyed sitting on my lap. I will never forget how happy he was to see his friend Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER) arrive almost a year after he moved in and how he greeted her. She had lived in the same household as him.

I was able to enjoy his trust as well as his unconditional love and gratitude in all the years up to his sudden death. I am infinitely grateful that I was able to accompany this cute male for almost 9 years.

July 4, 2021:

After many years I have shown in Slovenia again and have returned with great results.

Together with my friend Claudia and two of her dogs, I took part in the shows in Rogla with Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) - a national show on July 2nd, and two international shows on July 3rd and 4th. Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) accompanied us to get her used to the atmosphere of large shows.

Hippie finished the national show with Exc. 1, CAC and BOS. The next day at the international show she achieved a result that I hadn't expected: Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOS. With this CACIB, Hippie fulfills the conditions for the International Beauty Champion. The second international show didn't go so well, but after the two successful days it was ticked again: Exc. 1 without a title. Unfortunately we didn't manage to finish the Slovenian Beauty Championship this time. So soon we will go back to Slovenia to make another attempt.

Claudia, the dogs and I spent our free time in the accommodation a few kilometers from the show grounds with walks and great food in the restaurant that is attached to the accommodation. It was great to spend time with Claudia again after we last saw each other at the show in Zagreb/​​HR at the end of November 2019.

June 27, 2021:

My youngest girl had her very first show today, because she was only at home due to the lockdowns and was "trained" there as good as possible. Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) entered the "scene" with dignity: national show in Mosonmagyarovar/HU Exc. 1, Junior Winner, Best Junior (Junior BOB) and to top it off, the BOB against a champion bitch. The breeders Lella and Samu as well as I are very proud of the little mouse.

June 7, 2021:

Today the oldest dog in the house is celebrating birthday: Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER) is 15 years. Congratulations to the little girl who is healthy as well as still very lively and funny. If you see her jumping around, you wouldn't believe she's that age. It shall stay that way for a long time so that we can continue to have a good time together.

May 26, 2021:

The very best birthday wishes to my special darling Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). He is 10 years old today. Congratulations also go to his siblings Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT), Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE) and Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY).

Today was once again a bathing day for Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA). 4 days ago she turned 9 months young and thus youth. Reason enough to set up a new photo album (Youth) for them and upload two pictures that I took after the bath.

It would be Voodoo's (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO) birthday. He was the first Chinese Crested by my side, and we had at least 13 unforgettable years together before he left forever. All the best my sweet, unforgettable boy.

My E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born 22 years ago. All the best to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge for Einstein, Romeo, Esprit, Shadow, Whoopy, Cou, Echo & Raven. A candle was lit for the eight.

And 3 years ago, Porsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) was torn out of my life completely unexpectedly ..... only 4 years and 3 days young. He's still missing like on the first day. I lit a candle for him too. The memories of him are beautiful and he lives on in my heart.

May 16, 2021:

Just 2 days before her 10^th birthday in 2009, Whoopy (EXCUSE-MOI WHOOPY de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) left forever - far too early and unexpectedly. She will not be forgotten, the glowing candle should show her that.

May 15, 2021:

Today is the 7^th birthday of the Caipirinha's P litter. Congratulations to Prada (PRADA PINK EDITION) and Pagani (PAGANI TOO HOT TO HANDLE). Unfortunately, one of the three has already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. My thoughts are with Porsche (PINK HOT PORSCHE). All the best to him, too, and the lighted candle should show him that he has not been forgotten.

May 8, 2021:

One day celebrating, the next day is a day of remembrance, a very difficult one, because even after three years it is still very hard. Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln 'THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) was torn from my side much too early. I miss his snuggling up my neck and head for giving good night kisses, his warm breath on my neck when he decided kissing time is over, feeling his warm body when falling asleep, the happily tolling around in the morning when he noticed that I have eyes open. ...... He was so very special and unique, I'm so grateful for the time we had, but it shouldn't be that it was more. A candle was lit.

 

When I close my eyes, I see him ...... when I open my eyes, I miss him .....

It has been 32 years since my first Briard brood bitch was born: Arwa Z. (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH1). She was a soul of a dog, and immensely grateful that she got a good and loving home for half of her life after coming to me from a miserable situation. The warmest congratulations and many hugs to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Of course, a candle was lit for her too.

April 14, 2021:

11 years ago I had to say goodbye to my beloved Oh-Lala (Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille). She had waited for me until I came back from America to make this last difficult journey with her. She will never be forgotten and she will always have her place in my heart. A candle was lit for her.

April 8, 2021:

Today would be the birthday of the G litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière, born in 2002. Congratulations to the 6 children of Oh-Lala (Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille). My thoughts are with these great dogs who have given their owners a lot of joy for many years.

And it would also be Sambo's (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) birthday. All the best to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. His death day was April 13, 2013.

Since there are no exhibitions due to the corona lockdown, I take the training with Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) calmly. Today my friend and neighbor Alex was nice enough to do some leash training videos. Two of them are now in her Photo Gallery (the links are under the album). The little turbo mouse doesn't take it too seriously, but when she runs properly for a short time and then stands free for a moment, she does really well.

At this point I would like to thank Lella and Samu again very much for this great bitch.

For all of them a candle has been lit. They are unforgotten and have their place in my heart forever.

October 28 - 30, 2022:

In the short term, after 14 years, I decided to participate once again in international shows in Slovakia. So I spent three days with Dyoma (Magic of Success DIAMOND) and Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) participated in the Danube CACIB exhibitions in Bratislava/SK.

Both left the show ring on all three shows with very nice results: Dyoma won his class three times and received 3 x CAC and on the last day the Res. CACIB. Mamacita also won her class on all days and received 3 x CAC as well as Res. CACIB on the first two days.

Now both need a CAC each in the next exhibition season so that they are Beauty Champions Slovakia.

         

With this extended exhibition weekend, our season is finally over and I hope that the break is over quickly and we can travel again.

October 15, 2022:

After many years, two dogs from here took part in a show in Slovakia: Today the club show of the Chinese Crested Club Slovakia took place in Pezinok. It was Dyoma's (Magic of Success DIAMOND) first appearance in Intermediate Class, Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) who ran in Champion Class, and for both it was the very first time indoors.

t was a long day for us, because before the club show there was a regional show for all breeds in the hall, which ended at 6 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. Therewith the club show started three hours late. And despite this long wait, Dyoma and Mamacita were fully motivated when it was finally their turn. Both dogs won their class and got the CAC. I'm particularly proud of Dyoma, who was only in the ring for the third time in his life and gave his best with confidence.

Each exhibitor received a bag with lots of treats and kibble food, as well as measuring cups and dosing spoons. The placed dogs also received beautiful wooden figures. A bottle of sparkling wine was in the bags for each of the owners. Thanks to the organization and the new board of the club for their successful first club show and the nice gifts.

Today is the birthday of Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg), my very first Briard. Congratulations to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

September 28, 2022:

On September 22^nd Hippie (CIB Multi-Champ. by Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION), Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) and Dyoma (Magic of Success DIAMOND) started the journey towards Montenegro. We spent the first afternoon and the first night in an accommodation in Gospic/HR. A nice big house off the streets with nothing than the green and forest all around. Great for the dogs to roam after the long ride. From here there are two videos of the dogs, found in the Photo Galleries of Dyoma and Mamacita down below the photo albums. The next morning we continued to our destination Niksic/MNE in a perfect accommodation for dogs: a small cottage with completely fenced garden by great, friendly and very helpful hosts. The first exhibition of the Trebjesa Cup began on Sunday.

For Dyoma it was the very first show of his life and he beat himself very bravely, considering that he could not really learn much or gain experience due to the war in Ukraine. Judging was by Mr. Milivoje Urosevic/SRB. He left the ring with Exc. 1, Junior Winner, Best Junior, Junior BOB. Hippie got Exc. 1 and CAC in champion class, and Mamacita went out of the open class as the most successful of the three with Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB and BOB. So not enough, she then rocked the ring of honor and left this under the same judge as Group Winner.

Unfortunately, on the second day we had constant rain with some thunderstorms, strong winds and clouds - on a sports field without roof, without tent,....... But that didn't stop my three favorites from doing their best again. Under judge Mr. Nebojsa Surbatovic/SRB Dyoma received again Exc. 1, Junior Winner, Best Junior, Junior BOB, Hippie again Exc. 1, CAC and Mamacita Exc. 1, CAC and Res. CACIB. Even though all of us - dogs and humans - were soaked up to the skin despite rainwear, this did not obfuscate the mood with such results.

Thanks to the organization, the achieved Championships could be applied for and taken over immediately. For Dyoma there was the Junior Champion Montenegro and Grand Junior Champion Montenegro. Hippie and Mamacita received the Beauty Champions Montenegro. As an addition there were further titles for both girls due to some Championships they already acquired in other countries of the EU and non EU: Champion Adria, Champion Balkan, Champion Yugoslavia, Champion Mediterranean and Champion Nato. The Champion certificates can be seen in the pages of the individual dogs as well as in their show results pages.

On 09/25/000 Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin Dvor) started her last journey.

On 09/23/2018 Naomi (DEJA-VU NAOMII Dandy Mate) crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Exactly one year later Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO), my very first Chinese Crested.

A candle was lit for all three.

A difficult day for me: Today I had to decide with the help of the veterinarian that I open my arms and let Sterling (Champ. Daretobebare STERLING SILVER) go over the Rainbow. From one day to the next, she gave herself up and no longer accepted food. Nevertheless, I must be grateful that since the diagnosis of kidney insufficiency at the age of 15 1/2 in October 2021, we could remain almost a year united. At 16 years, 3 months and 2 days, she was my oldest dog of all time.

Fortunately, I have very nice memories of this lovely, friendly, hassle-free and cordial girl who came here at the age of just under four years. The most intense memory is her arrival here: She had lived in the USA with Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, AOM), who came to me in August 2009. The joy of both being reunited after about half a year is indescribable. Now they have each other again - this time after 4 years.

Sterling is cremated on September 16th, and I will take her home forever on the 17th.

August 30, 2022:

August 27, 2022:

Dyoma (Magic of Success DIAMOND) has settled in really well after a week and is a happy, playful male. He has already had his first bath and it went really well. Because of the warm weather, he was allowed to air dry. Let's see how he does when the hair dryer has to be used.

August 23, 2022:

It has been 17 years since Yazoo (Sel. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) crossed the Rainbow Bridge. A candle was lit for her.

August 18, 2022:

There was a new addition to the house today. My new male from the Ukraine has arrived safely here after an 2,5-day journey: Dyoma (Magic of Success DIAMOND) - another powderpuff that I intend to show together with Hippie (CIB Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA). But now the most important thing is that he settles in well.

Many thanks to his breeder Liubov Herych for entrusting me with this sweet little guy. I'll do my best to make her proud.

And then there is another birthday to celebrate: Mamacita is 2 years old today. The warmest congratulations to the sun of this house, to the sweet little whirlwind.

My Briard K litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière out of Champ. TALISMANIK de la Chaume du Bois Dieu and ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid was born 16 years ago. It was my last Briard litter. The six children from this mating will live in my heart forever. Congratulations on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge to K'QUIERES "Chica", KALAHARI "Grisu", KEY-TO-MY-HEART "Heart", KAHLUA "Courage", KAIPIRINHA "Kiara" and KANDIS "Chili". July 4, 2022:

Today we - Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), Hippie (CIB Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and I - came home from a wonderful and extremely successful show weekend in Rogla/SLO. Another dream has come true: Mamacita is now Slovenian Beauty Champion after four great performances in the show rings:

This is the fifth championship of the youngest girl here. I don't have to emphasize how proud I am of the sweet little mouse.

There were four shows in total: on 1.7. a national, on 2.7. an international and a special of the Slovenian Toy Breed Club and on 3.7. again an international one. Mamacita left the ring on the first two days of both shows with BOB, in the Special she was Best Female and BOB, and on the third day she became class winner. With three class wins, she has fulfilled the conditions for the Slovenian Beauty Championship. I never, ever expected that she would then leave the ring with BOB three times under 12 entries of her breed and win the special. The show was excellently organized, many thanks to the whole Rogla Team. A beautiful area with extensive possibilities for walks, enough space for tents and cars. The evaluations and entitlement cards were sent to the exhibitors by email after a short time, which is great and many countries could take an example from this. On the last day you could then apply for the championship directly on site by showing your qualifying cards on your cell phone, the confirmation was printed out immediately.

The accommodation was also excellent: an apartment in a beautiful, well-kept house with a beautifully landscaped garden between extensive pastures and hills, without any traffic noise and with an impressive view.

Everything is clean, the apartment is spacious and has a nice balcony, the garden offers plenty of space for dog walks, pleasant walks and a hostess and her family, as one could wish for - and very dog-friendly. We were greeted warmly and immediately offered something to drink. Whenever you need something, the whole family is immediately available. I recommend Apartman Panorama in 3214 Zrece to everyone who wants to travel around Rogal area.

For me, the past exhibition weekend was the best so far this year - not only because of the great successes.

Today is a very special day: The oldest girl of the pack celebrates her 16^th birthday: Best wishes to Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER). May I be able to accompany this sweet, lovable and friendly girl for a long time to come.

Unfortunately it rained non-stop and so I couldn't make a video of the sweet lady in her new suit in the garden. Hence just a photo of Sterling in her favorite bed.

May 30, 2022:

Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and I came back from Serbia, where yesterday Mamacita took part in the international show in Subotica.She was very successful again: CAC and CACIB and now she fulfills all the conditions for the title Beauty Champion Serbia. She has won her fourth championship in just two months.

It was a very well organized show on a great site. Luckily the forecast rain didn't come. And we met again our friends Helga from Hungary and Zoran with his wife Dolly from Italy and spent a nice time together. The accommodation booked was excellent and is recommended: Gray Apartment  directly in Subotica. The hostess is a lovely, helpful and dog-friendly woman. Thank you Zeljka!.

There was also a surprise in the mailbox after the return: Mamacita's Beauty Championships of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Srpska were awarded on April 4^th and the confirmations and certificates have arrived.

The Caipirinha's N litter is celebrating its 11^th birthday today. All the best to my beloved Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED), to Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) and Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE) in Germany and to Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) in Canada. May all four be granted many more healthy years.

Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO) celebrates his birthday on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge today. This little, spirited male will never be forgotten - my first Chinese Crested. And again a candle burns here in the house.

Today is the birthday of Briard E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière. The congratulations for all eight of this litter go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Einstein, Romeo, Esprit, Shadow, Whoopy, Cou, Echo and Raven are on my mind while lighting a candle for these amazing children from Yazoo (Sel. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) x Samson (UGO de la Morne Plaine) burns.

It's been four years since Porsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) died just 3 days after a surgery of a pulmonary embolism at the tender age of just four. He's still missed here, this funny and lovable male. He is also commemorated with the burning candle.

It's the 13^th anniversary of Whoopy's  (EXCUSE-MOI WHOOPY de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) death. Like everyone else who has left, she is not forgotten and a candle was lit for her.

May 15, 2022:

We - Mamacita (Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and I - came home from Serbia this evening. Mamacita took part in the international show in Ada yesterday. Unfortunately, this time things didn't go quite as hoped, which I only noticed when I was in the accommodation when I looked at the judge's report: The judge had first judged the hairless and powderpuff separately. But as it turned out, he let the class run together and so Mamacita "only" got the Res. CAC, as a bonus the Res. CACIB. Because I didn't notice this at the exhibition, it was no longer possible to ask or complain. That's a pity, because when I asked the club about the report, I was told that the CAC will be awarded separately. Well, that was probably a bit of a letdown. One can only hope that next time it will go as one is told.

May 15, 2022:

Happy 8^th birthday to Caipirinha's P litter, namely Prada and Pagani in Germany and Porsche on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. A candle was lit for him.

May 4, 2022:

Tonight we - Mamacita (Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and I came back from our short vacation in Croatia. During this holiday Mamacita attended two of the Zadar International Shows, which she finished with very good results. On April 29^th she got CAC and Res. CACIB and on May 2^nd CAC, CACIB and BOS.

Once again we met nice people and spent a great week at Zaton Holiday Resort - except for the first two nights, which were disturbed by mice scurrying about in the false ceiling. During the day there was nice warm, sunny weather and finally - after three years - I could enjoy again grilled squid with chard potatoes and other very good fish dishes. As always, the beautiful, relaxing time passed far too quickly and the week was over soon. Let's see if we can do this trip again next year.

A sad day for me, it still hurts a lot to think of Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) who crossed the  Rainbow Bridge four years ago. The lit candle shall show him that my thoughts are with him.

She lives on in my heart forever......

April 11, 2022:

The second show weekend of this year is behind Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA). Together with Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) waren wir in Satu Mare/RO. we were in Satu Mare/RO. And again, the youngest of the house was able to achieve great success: she got CAC and BOB at the national show and CAC, CACIB and BOB at the international show. Thereby she fulfilled the conditions for the Beauty Champion Romania and got hold of her third championship.

    

As for the weather, it was the worst show I've ever been to. It rained non-stop on Saturday, which is absolutely no fun at an outdoor show with a long-haired dog. Besides, it was very windy and freezing cold. We even had frost at night. The show grounds and the organization were excellent, lots of nice and helpful people, and we made new friends who we hope to meet again at another show soon. The lodging was rustic and old, run by very warm and friendly hosts. For our needs of having a room to sleep it was ok.

March 28, 2022:

The first show weekend with the show marathon in Banja Luka/BIH is behind us. Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) ran in intermediate class for the first time and rocked the show ring at all 4 shows (2 national and 2 international). From CAC 1 she left the ring with CAC and BOB, from CACIB 1 with CAC, CACIB and BOB, from CAC 2 again with CAC and BOB and from CACIB 2 again with CAC, CACIB and BOB. With the first two show results she fulfills the conditions for the Beauty Champion of the Republic of Srpska and with the additional result of the third exhibition the conditions for the Beauty Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'm so proud of the smallest of the pack. I refrained from appearing in the group rings because these shows were the first in a tent and I didn't want to stress the inexperienced bitch too much. I apologized to all four judges for their absence and they accepted it with understanding and thanked them.

The journeys were a little tiring because of the Croatia/Bosnia-Herzegovina border, seven and a half hours each way. For this we - Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION), Mamacita and I - were rewarded with a beautiful accommodation in the hills behind Banja Luka: a beautiful, well-kept holiday home with a cozy garden, totally quiet, only 2 direct neighbors and in the best way suitable for walks. The homeowner is a very nice, helpful and very dog-friendly host who can be reached at any time if necessary. Because the house cannot be reached directly via the data from Google Maps, he arranged a meeting point with me in Banja Luka and took me the 20-minute drive to the quarters. This house - Country House - is very suitable for a vacation with dogs. Many thanks to Bojan for letting me live there with Mamacita and Hippie.

Today we got sad news again: only a few days prior to his 12^th birthday Fendi (FLIC FENDI NOIR de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) left to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts are with his owners Lilo and Teresa who gave this sweet boy such a wonderful and loving home. A candle has been lit for Fendi who can now run free with his parents, litter mates and friends. Now there is only one single direct offspring of our stunning Yazoo (Sél LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC): our Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière). We fear to lose him soon as he is already very tired. Hard to imagine that soon the wonderful "epoch Yazoo" will be history ......

We'll never forget HOW Fendi was picked: Lilo came here with her small daughter Teresa, they had lost their Briard some weeks before. We still had three boys at the age of 5 months from our F litter, Frizzy was meant to stay here. Lilo wanted Ferre but we refused because he was a very dominant boy and a real rascal. We said we would not take the responsibility with that dominant dog and a small child. Fendi would be a good choice as he was very soft and always eager to prevent any "stress" with his brothers. Lilo decided to spend the night nearby to come back again on the next day. When she came the next morning she was still looking at Ferre. Then all of a sudden something we had not expected happened: Ferre ran to little Teresa and at the same time Fendi rushed over to her and stood right in front of her - he wanted to protect Teresa from Ferre who would have jumped up on her and would sure make her fall. No more question which boy would drive home with Lilo and Teresa. Over the years we were in contact from time to time and we always heard that our decision was so serious and so great, that Lilo and Teresa could not have got a better dog. And it was nice to receive lots of photos and see Teresa and Fendi growing up together.

Thanks for that loving and caring home, and thanks that Lilo and Teresa opened their arms to let Fendi go when time had come.

December 9, 2012:

Back home from the show weekend in Wels/A (double CACIB show 8/9 Dec.) with nice results: Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) has been shown on both days for the fulfillment of the necessary conditions for breeding confirmation in Austria, and got CACA, CACIB and BOS on Saturday, on Sunday she went out of the ring with CACA. With the CACIB on Saturday Memy has now the third country for gaining the International Championship which we are going to try to finish in July 2013. Dorka and Memy were once again a real great team and we are mighty proud of both!

Besides the indescribable cold in the halls it was a very nice and comfortable weekend accompanied by some great friends.

Herewith the show season 2012 finally ended for the dogs from here. This was really a great year with indescribable success for three dogs from here.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce very sad news again: GUS GILLESPIE de la Maison du Garde-Barrière "Gustl" passed last night and went to his family on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts are with him and his owners, and we hope that all the nice memories from over 10 years ease the pain a little bit. A candle has been lit for this wonderful boy ......

We want to thank his owners for this wonderful and loving home and that they made his life so happy.

This is a very sad day ...... another epoch of our lives has ended ...... only 8 days after her 14^th birthday we had to say goodbye to our little princess Gizmo (JESMINA GIZMO Kasiterit) and let her go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. This tiny girl with the heart of a lion was something very special in our lives, she entered this house on Christmas Eve 1998 and caught the heart of everyone she met - no matter if dog person or not. Only a few days after she had arrived she joined me at work until she was over 3 years - going there by train and underground. Until the age of over 8 years she joined the Briards and me, then since 2005 the Chinese Cresteds and me on each and every trip through Europe as well as to Canada and the United States. We called her our "sweet little mascot". It was a very hard decision to let her go but her time had unfortunately come, and at 1:35 p.m. she passed away in my arms. On November 7, 2012, she will be cremated and her urn will be placed besides the one of her very best friend Yazoo.

Gizmo brought so much love, happiness, joy, fun and luck to this home. Even though having been the tinyest of the dogs here, she was the boss until today. It was fun to watch her "educate" the Briard puppies until 2006 and then the Crested puppies. Needless to say that this little "Lioness" was one of the biggest enrichments we ever had.

Thanks for the wonderful years with you sweet Gizmo, thanks that you caught our hearts the day we met you the very first time, thanks that you owned us and that you spread your love for so many years, thanks for the forever lasting memories we can carry in our hearts. You'll never be forgotten. Run free Gizmo with all the family members that left us already ...... each of them will love that you are with them now ......

October 29, 2012:

We had decided before long that our show season has not yet ended, and during the past weekend Maverick (Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) went to a double CACIB show in Pleven/BG with our friend Dorka. The trip was brought a return because the results of both dogs were nothing to sneeze at. Maverick and Memy got CACIB on both days and at the choice for the breed BOB was given both days to Memy. On the first show Memy was even placed in the group with BOG3. And the best of that weekend: Maverick now has his first Championship, Memy her fourth. Both are now Beauty Champions of Bulgaria.

A repeated thank you goes to Dorka who once again cared and showed both again great, but also to our friends Bence and Dániel who helped when needed. GREAT, one can only wish such a finish of the season. Some photos have been added to the Photo Gallery / Shows Maverick and Shows Memy.

With Maverick's title there are now 2 Champions out of our N litter (born 26 May 2011).

October 25, 2012:

Today Tiffany from the USA arrived in Vienna to visit us for a couple of days, and ...... to bring our long and eagerly awaited new family member: Secret (Explicit's SINS AND SECRETS FOR CAIPIRINHA'S). What a blast!

Secret was exploring her new home immediately even though she had been on tour for 14 hours. Needless to say that all the dogs here welcomed her and made her first steps in the "new world" comfortable.

One can clearly see she is a senior but she is in good mood and still lets all the others know that she is the boss of all the rascals (big and small) here. At the close of our show season there were once again great results. Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) was shown yesterday at the international show in Székesféhervár/HU and got the CAC with her class win, CACIB as Winners Bitch, and then was BOB. The little mouse did it absolutely souvereign. Lots of thanks to the judge Katalin Radvanszky/HU! The topping all came in the group ring: BOG3. Thanks to judge Annamária Tarján for the great placement.

Memy has been shown in the group ring for the very first time by our friend Melinda, and for Melinda it was the first time to handle this breed. We are mighty proud of both! Thanks so much Melinda that you were here for us and earned such a great success.

Saturday she was just awesome with Exc. 1 CAC, CACIB (Winners Bitch) and finally she was BOB. Thanks so much to the honorable judge Gabriel Valdez/COL for this great success. Sunday was not as terrific but still nice: Exc. 1 CAC and Res. CACIB (Reserve Winners Bitch) under judge Sárközi Gyula/HU.

Thanks to Dorka for the wonderful handling and for bringing the girl one step closer to finishing the Hungarian and International Championships hopefully next year in summer.

We can't wait to get the girl back home after she has been off and is very much missed since nearly 3 weeks.

The next show with great success again: national all breed show in Esztergom/HU and our little 16 months young Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) continued her run. She did not only win her class with Exc. 1 and CAC but also went BOB. To top all this she was selected in the group and left the group ring with BOG3.

Woohoo, thanks so much Dorka for another great handling with wonderful results. You and my dogs really ROCK! Thanks also to the breed juge Dr. Vázci-Balogh and the judge of group 9 for the great results.

And we received great news from Canada: only on 3 weekends out at shows Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) finished his Canadian Championship on August 10, 2012. Huge congratulations to his owner Tara. We are so proud of her and Tanner! The first Champion of our Caipirinha's N litter.

INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) are back home from their tournaments at the Black Sea Winner Shows in Varna/Bulgaria (16 to 26 July 2012). Because of a problem with the car of the Hungarian show team, they missed the first two days, but finally could be in the show rings on 18 July. Under the honorable international judges - namely Zoya Oleynikova/UKR, Paul Standon/S, Roberto Velez Pico/PUR, Guiseppe Alessandra/IT, Dinky Santos/PHIL, Petru Muntean/RO, Cristian Stefanescu/RO, Carla Molinari/PT, Walter Jungblut/GER, Dagmar Klein/RO, Alexey Belkin/RUS, Frank Kane/GB, Rita Kadike Skadina/LV and Yana Gavrilova/RUS - both dogs had lots of success and came back home with a couple of champion titles. Besides the class wins both dogs earned BOB and BOS, Keanu was once even short listed in the group. The final outcome of the tournaments is: 5 new champion titles for Keanu and the first 3 championships for Memy out of intermediate class (at the age of only 16 months!). Thanks a lot to all the judges for their great ratings and of course a BIG THANK YOU to our wonderful friend and super handler Dorka. She did a great job once again and made some more dreams come true. And thanks to Dorka for caring so wonderfully for these two darlings during all the time and whenever she has one of our dogs. Also thanks to Ewelina who helped Dorka by showing Keanu on one of the show days so that Dorka did not have to go to the ring with two dogs in a row.

We celebrate the next birthday. Our funny, active darling and self entertainer Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) is 4 years today. Happy happy birthday smart girl. We are so happy that you are with us and fill our days with happiness and joy.

Today was International show in Szombathelyi/Hungary (20 dogs entered) and Memy (INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) for the first time out of junior class. Not only that with the CAC from the class win (4 females) she finished the Hungarian Junior Champion, but also was best female with the CACIB (Winners Bitch) and BOS. LOTS OF THANKS to our dear friend Dorka for the great start for titles and that she showed Memy once again so wonderfully. Thanks also to judge Dr. Vázci-Balogh! Wait to go "Team Memy"!

Today Story (Caipirinha's ON SILENT WINGS) moved to her new home.

A heartfelt thank you to our dear friend Dorka for her trust in our breeding, and that she decided for this sweet girl. We wish both lots of fun, joy, luck and success, and we look already forward to our next reunion.

Esprit (Caipirinha's ON CLOUD No9) and Macho (Caipirinha's ONE MAN STANDING) are back home from their first training weeks at Dorka and can now toll around again with two sibbling. But not for long as they will soon be sent again to the trainings camp. Thanks Dorka for the great work with these two.

June 19, 2012:

We received sad news today in the morning: Briard Femmy (FEMME FATALE GRISE de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) left to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts are with her owner and we hope she gets some comfort with all the nice memories she has from that girl. What Femmy's mother Yazoo (Multi-Sél. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC) was in the show ring, was Femmy as a working dog. She succeeded great in obedience, defence and IPO by gaining the examinations BgH 1-3, SchH 1-3, IPO 1-3 and GH 1-2 in the years 2002 to 2004. We are of course very proud of Femmy and her owner that this team was so successful. Thanks for the wonderful home that Femmy was given and thanks for all the love and care during many years!

Rest in peace sweet Femmy and run free with all your family.

June 15, 2012:

Today there was once again a longer car ride was on the agenda for the rascals of the O litter. Esprit (Caipirinha's ON CLOUD No9) and Macho (Caipirinha's ONE MAN STANDING) will now spend 2 weeks at our dear friend Dorka for getting a bit training. Reason to take the opportunity for getting new photos of all; Maverick (Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) was also joining us. Some picutres turned out to be quite nice and are now online in the various Photo Galleries: Esprit, Macho, Sterling's puppies with Keanu and Maverick. Lots of thanks to Dorka for the great help to have new photos as well as for the willingness to work once again with two youngsters from here.

After the photo shooting we were off to other friends: Bea and Norbert. There Bea got some grooming and skin care hints for a Chinese Crested that she handles at shows. After that we took again photos and we were successful to get a great shot: a shadow picture of Caipirinha's ON SILENT WINGS.

In conclusion of a very successful day Bea and Norbert invited for a delicious dinner, and then we started our trip back home. Thanks to Bea and Norbert for the nice hours in their family and of course also for their hospitality. Hopefully we can repeat something like that soon.

Back from the show weekend in Hungary, where we spent three great days with dear friends and had lots of fun. Memy (INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) participated in Komarom in 2 CACIB shows and 1 CAC show and got Exc. 2 twice and once Exc. 1 Junior Winner as well as Crufts Qualification 2013. Again our thank you goes to our friend Dorka who handled Memy really great.

On Saturday evening we were invited by our friends Norbert and Bea to friends of them for a real delicious dinner, where we had together with Melinda lots of chat and again fun in first place. Lots of thanks for the comfortable evening.

We already look forward to the next reunion with the great team!

Not to believe that it is already 1 year ago that our Ula had her last litter.

We have received sad news again: today Falco (FETICHE FALCO NOIR de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) had to go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts are with Ylenia and Dennis, and we have of course lit a candle for this great boy.

A new family member has entered our lives and home: Sambo (SAMBO FAUVE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu - born 8 April 2001) urgently needed a new home at the age of 11 years and we decided to adopt this sweet boy to fill his remaining time with love, care and happiness. Thanks a lot to our dear and wonderful friend Corinne for having taken the effort to get the boy from his former home, clip him down because he was allover matted and then bring him to Salzburg where he could be picked up by us. We hope Sambo settles in fast and now finally gets to know what life can be in a loving and caring home.

Today it is 13 years ago that our E litter (de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) was born. In remembrance of these 8 kids out of our dearly missed two dogs Yazoo and Samson we have lit a candle for Einstein, Romeo, Esprit, Shadow, Whoopy, Cou, Echo and Raven.

Our O litter is now in the 4^th month of life and the rascals have lots of fun in the garden as far as the weather allows it. May 4, 2012:

Today Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) finally came back home after a 10 days stay in Hungary and at the Adria ...... he was missed extremely while his stay off. With our dear friend Dorka, Keanu has participated the Adriatic Winner Shows 2012 and came back with FIVE NEW CHAMPIONSHIPS. Therewith, he has his TENTH TITLE and out them nine were gained within only one and a half years. Needless to say how proud we are of our star. All his new titles can be found in his Introduction page as well as in the page with the Show results. A pretty photo of Keanu has been put to the Photo Gallery /Shows Keanu .

Again our heartfelt thank you goes to Dorka who has handled Keanu in such a great way and who did not hesitate to take the effort of 10 shows, so that another dream comes true for us. Thanks also to Norbert who brought Keanu today to Austria and who, together with his wife Bea took care of our boy during the past three days.

With a heavy heart we had to get to know today that Lexi (GAULTIER'S GALAXIE de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) walked to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge on 27 April - not even one month after her 10^th birthday. Our heart goes out to her owner Ilonka and her family ......

Lots of thanks that you gave this great daughter of our still so very much missed Oh-Lala (Sél. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille) such a wonderful home for nearly 10 years.

April 24, 2012:

The puppies have been on a car ride yesterday ...off we went to our dear friend Dorka for a photo session. Some of those pictures are now in the Photo Gallery/Sterling's puppies with Keanu. Tomorrow the rascals are 11 weeks. Lots of thanks to Dorka for spending this time, and to her family for the usual great hospitality!

And today we were off to the vet for the next vaccination. They did again very well.

April 19/21, 2012:

Our O litter is now in the 11^th week of life.

Because of all the rain during the past days they couldn't enjoy much time outside. All the more was the joy when finally today they could toll around in the garden. We have taken some fun pics of the rascals and put them to the Photo Gallery/Sterling's puppies with Keanu.

Our G litter (Briards de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) is 10 years today. A very heartfelt HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Gustl (Gus Gillespie), Lara (Gucci's Surprise), Aysha (G'Aysha Blonde), Bisou (Gros Bisou), Graffiti Snap and Lexi (Gaultier's Galaxie). We wish you many more healthy and happy years with your families!

April 6, 2012:

The puppies of our O litter were eight weeks on April 4. All the more reason to take some snap shots. Unfortunately some puppies lost their "ear decoration" as they tolled around so much with their siblings. But because the weather was only nice for a short time we decided to tape the ears again after the photo session.

The new photos have been put to the Photo Gallery/Sterling's puppies with Keanu. For the next days we plan to take some nice stacking pics. Hopefully this works with the little active crew.

Yesterday was litter control: everything ok, a well balanced litter with pretty heads, very good shoulders and hind angulation, all have scissors bites and are of good sice and weight for their age.

April 2, 2012:

Exciting day for the puppies: first car ride to the vet, health check, first vaccinations and microchips implanted. They did really fine, no problem at all, and they had some fun while exploring the veterenary clinic. We are very proud of this "gang".

Today the Austrian Toy Breed Club (OeZK) awarded the "Best Show Dog 2011 Club". Out of the twelve breeds that the club is in charge of, our Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) was placed second (160 points), and therewith also turned to be "Best Chinese Crested 2011 Club".

We are of course mighty proud of Keanu, and we also once again thank the ones who made the great success 2011 possible and helped to gain this title: the handlers and judges!

March 27, 2012:

March 26, 2012:

Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) is back home from a weekend in Serbia where he has been shown yesterday with great success: BOB, he was short listed in the group, and gained a further Championship (his fourth in Europe within not even one and a half years). Keanu is now Serbian Beauty Champion.

A heartfelt thank you to our friend Dorka for the handling with super result, and of course thanks to the judge Dusan Paunovic. Thanks also to Norbert who took Keanu on that trip and sent us two pretty photos which can now be seen in the Photo Gallery/Shows Keanu.

Our O litter is now in the fourth week of life and daily the puppies get more active. As the smell of Sterling's food was rather interesting for them, we tried if they take already mushy food - with success.

February 16, 2012:

Back from the CAC Show in Budapest/HU with most wonderful success of the two youngest here in the crew: Maverick (Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) was shown for the very first time and has courageously received very promising 1 and Best Puppy in Puppy class (4 in the class). Memy (INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) was in she show ring for the second time and has also courageously won Junior class (3 in the class) with excellent 1, Junior Winner and then received Best Junior/Junior BOB. The end of the show was finally absolutely overwhelming: in the puppy honory ring Maverick gained amont all puppy winners of all breeds the incredible result Best Puppy In Show.

A most heartfelt thanks to our handler Dorka who gained these great results with the two, and also to her show team and the co-trainers of Maverick and Memy, Dáni and Adrienn. Lots of thanks to judge Dr. Roberto Schill/RO for the wins in the breed ring and to Szabó Béla/HU for the stunning result in the honory ring.

We celebrate Ula's (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) birthday, she is 7 years young today. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our special girl. We enjoy each and every day with her, as this sweetheart brings so much fun, joy and life to this house.

February 10, 2012:

Finally there are puppies again: on February 8, our Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER) gave birth to our desired O litter (pure American blood line) after our Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE). It is 3 males (2 hairless, 1 powderpuff) and 4 females (2 hairless, 2 powderpuff). The puppies are prcd-PRA and PLL clear by default.

Perfect timing from Sterling: it is her birthday present to the breeder. We are very pleased about the little rascals, which were born with very good weights and gain every day. Sterling is also doing fine and she is a great mother.

February 2, 2012:

Today the hairless female MY ANDY GIRL von Shinbashi (Germany) gave birth to 3 hairless puppies (2/1) after Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) in the kennel of our friend Annerose (kennel von Shinbashi).

It is 18 years ago that our first Briard litter was born. We have lit a candle in memory of the seven kids and their parents Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) and Arwa (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1).

29. Januar 2012:

A short but again wonderful stay in Germany at Annerose and her family is over. Departure on Friday afternoon, arrival back home today at noon. Besides the wish to spend a weekend with dear friends, it was meant to bring Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) back home again, who had spent a holiday with Annerose since end of November last year.

Thanks for the great care of the small guy! A heartfelt thank you to Eric who took over the trips to the airport, and of course lots of thanks for the wonderful hospitality! A visit with you is always a big pleasure. Hopefully till soon!

November 18, 2020:

Today at 2 p.m. Ula was cremated and I could go and pick up her urn in the evening to place her on the board in my memorial corner, directly besides Keanu with whom she gave me wonderful puppies. Another chapter of my life has ended now, and it will take quite a while until I can get over the pain.

November 15, 2020:

Today is a very black day. My so much loved Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) lost her desire to live at the age of 15 years, 9 months and 4 days - exactly 14 1/2 years after she had moved here. Since her gall bladder removal she never threw up, but yesterday evening she vomitted all her midday meal. For already three days she did not really want to eat and lost weight rather fast. So yesterday evening I had to make the hard decision to drive to my trustworthy vet on the next day to let her go. My heart breaks ...... Ula is among the Chinese Crested what Yazoo was for me among the Briards.

At 11:20 a.m. Ula fell asleep forever in my arms to make her way over the Rainbow Bridge. She does not only leave another big hole in my heart, but also an infinite emptiness. As a comfort I try to tell myself that she had a beautiful, long life filled with joy and love, and that I could have already lost her last year during or after the surgery. Du to our vet I could have her at my side for a bit more than one and a half year.

This is the last photo of my girl which I took prior to carrying into the vet clinic to let her go in peace.

 

Ula, you will remain unforgotten and have a very special place in my heart. Even though you are not longer physically with me, you will live on in your son Maverick and your granddaughter Hippie and join me through these two until one day we meet again. Thank you that I was allowed to join you for so many years, thank you for the luck, joy and love you gave me during all these years. As the founder of the Chinese Crested breeding Caipirinha's I give you big sincere thanks. Run free now with all the others from here. Let them know that I'll never forget them and that they will always be in my heart.

October 31, 2020:

Finally the weather allows that little Mamacita (Jamming's MAMACITA) can spend some time in the garden without getting wet up over the ears. And Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) demeaned herself finally to toll around and about with the little one. A video is now in the Photo Gallery of Mamacita.

October 15, 2020:

Today the new family member moved in. Jamming's MAMACITA was flown by her breeder from Helsinki to Wien. A sweet little powderpuff female, very self-confident, outgoing, full of energy and a very promising show dog. Let's see if she matures the way she promises now.

Since a year I am searching for a second powderpuff for showing and mid of September it emerged September that a litter which was very interesting caught my eyes. Given that I know the breeders personally I got already a week after my inquiry the assurance for a puppy. I did not mind the gender, it should only be a powderpuff with show potential. Sincere thanks to Lella and Samu for their confidence in me and that they allow me to join this little mouse in the future.

I hope that I soon find the time to create her part in this homepage.

October 2020:

Lots of shows did not take place because of the corona restrictions or the borders wer closed for foreigners and we could not drive there

From May 1 to 4 Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) and Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) should have taken place at the international and national shows in Zadar/HR, and we had planned a short vaccation in Zaton with our friends Susi, Claudia and Sandy. The accommodation was already booked since end of December 2019; show cancelled. The weekend July 16/17 we wanted to participate in the international shows in Sarvar/Hu - show was cancelled. Hippie was entered to a three days international show and club show from 20 to 23 August which had already be postponed from April - we could not go because I had to be in home quarantine prior to a surgery.

For September 26/27, Hippie was entered to a two days national show in Zalaegerszeg/HU - the borders were closed. A weekend later Hippie was entered to the three days international show in Komarom/HU gemeldet - borders were still closed.

One single show weekend in June in Papa/HU was what he attended. Hippie only misses one CAC for the Hungarian and one CACIB for the International Beauty Champion. What a pity that this year turned out to be so bad. We hope that in 2021 it will be better.

My thoughts are with Chica (K'Quieres Chica), Grisu (Kalahari Grisu), Heart (KeyToMyHeart), Courage (Kahlua Courage) and Kiara (Kiara Caipirinha) as well as their dam Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid). They are unforgotten and will forever live in my heart. Again a candle has been lit.

It's already two years ago that my precious little Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, SOM), the sire of my Caipirinha's M litter, left forever ...... and the pain about his loss has not changed. For him, too, a candle has been lit.

July 1, 2020:

Today 14 years ago Apollo (APOLLO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), a great male out of my first Briard litter, went over the Rainbow Bridge. A candle has been lit for him.

June 21, 2020:

Back from the first show weekend this year after lock down because of Corona. Hippie (Multi-Champ. von Shinbashi HIGHPROVOCATION) and I have been at the double CACIB show in Pápa/HU. On both days Hippie won the Champion class, and now has three of the four necessary CAC for the Hungarian Beauty Champion. One other great success of my youngest girl.

And then a big suprise: Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) was awarded the title Hungarian Show Champion. Great! We got the diploma, for the cup we got a voucher and can pick it up at one of the next shows.

Unfortunately the weather did not play along, rain on both days and on the second day a heavy storm which caused some tents to be thoroughly shaken. But otherwise it was nice to meet some lovely friends again. The accommodation was perfect, a renovated old mill with friendly and helpful hosts, an extensive breakfast and stylishly furnished, comfortable rooms.

June 7, 2020:

Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER) is 14 years today. All the very best to the second oldest of the pack, who still is as fit as during all the years since she came here. May she be some more nice, healthy years at my side.

May 26, 2020:

It is the 9^th birthday of Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and his three sibbling Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) in Canada as well as Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) and Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE), who went to Germany. Herzlichen Glückwunsch to all the four, may the have many more years ahead of them and remain healthy forever. In my thoughts I am with the three which are not here; I hug them tightly.

Unfortunately I don't know where the two are who went to Germany to the same person. Toulouse was already placed when he was not even grown up. With Needy I assume that she has been dumped after she was out of breeding age (like it happened with her half-sister Minu two years ago). Regrettable for lots the contracts they signed is not worth the paper written on. I take all dogs back when they are not longer wanted, I have the preemptive right according to the contract, but there are many indivuals who don't care. I just hope that the two are doing fine and that they have a home where they are loved until the end of their lives.

May 21, 2020:

Today is the birthday of Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO), the first Chinese Crested.  He's missed daily since about two years

Today the winter hair were cut off on Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). He felt totally great afterwards and I had to take a video of his joy. This is now in his Photo Gallery (link underneath the photos).

May 18, 2020:

The birthday of E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière would be today - born 21 years ago. For the 8 dogs of this litter a candle has been lit.

Today the P litter trio is three years. Happy Birthday to Prada (Caipirinha's PRADA PINK EDITION), Pagani (Caipirinha's PAGANI 2HOT 2HANDLE), wherever the two might be as I don't know if they are still where I gave them to in the meaning of a life long home. To Porsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) the wishes go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, where he went on May 18, 2018. For him a candle has been lit.

Daily I think about my wonderful best boy who left forever totally unexpected two years ago. The pain will never go, the tears for him will never disappear. Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) only continues to live in my heart. Each and every day I am grateful for the joy, luck, the great puppies, ...... he brought me. The lit candle shall show him that he is unforgotten.

A bright spot amongst all the sad memories: Today Hippie (Multi-Champ. HIGHPROVOCATION) celebrates her third birthday. The most heartfelt congratulation to this pretty, great girl, who brings joy to me day by day.

One more successful girl here who exactly a year ago gained her first Beauty Champion title at a five day marathon show, and then until beginning of October 2019 had four championships all in all. Of course we continue ...... when the situation about the Corona virus goes back to a "normal" direction. Let's see if we can manage what we intend to.

It is 7 years ago that Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) - only a few days after his 12^th birthday - went over the Rainbow Bridge.

It still hurts that he only had nearly a year to enjoy his life the way he should have deserved from beginning on. Still I cannot understand that there are people who take an animal just to let it veg out ...... without care, without suitable sleeping place, without love, ...... just feeding and serving water. A candle has been lit for this loveable boy.

Today one of my most successful girls celebrates her 9^th birthday: Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi). Heartfelt congratulations to this great representative of the breed, but mostly I wish her continuing healthiness and that I will be owned by her for many, many more years.

March 17, 2020:

A long desired parcel came by post today after a trip through the USA, from there to Germany and now to me: new Chinese Crested ceramic figurines being a compensation for the two which a so called American friend (Theresa Baldwin) stole from me after I had refused to send a dog, which I had imported from her, to an unreliable person in Sweden for breeding. In the meantime this person even sold these stolen figurines claiming (online) that they were hers.

Now I can finally put this disgusting matter aside and be pleased about two beautiful figurines. Lots of thanks to Yvonne Badoni for making them again for me and to Michaela Kidd for letting them be sent to her and take them with her at the occasion of her visit at her German family to finally send them to me. That is real friends! So here are the two figurines:

It is 15 years ago that a magnificent Briard boy left forever ...... much too young at the age of only 9 years and a couple of days. No one can take his place in my heart, and the wonderful memories which link us, will always be present. Samson (UGO de la Morne Plaine) is missed like on the first day. His enjoyment of life, his hilarious character, his unconditional love, his indescribable passion to play ...... all things which are unforgotten and will forever remain unforgotten.

A candle has been lit for the sire of the here born C litter and E litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière, for the sire of all in all 45 Briards in Finland, Sweden, Russia, USA, Canada, Australia and Austria, grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren in the USA.

Thinking about a great boy who's birthday is today: Marko, great "teacher" for lots of my Briards, helped raising puppies, wonderful companion for all the dogs here, sunshine of my life for a couple of years, but way too few. Today is a big day for Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA): she celebrates her 15^th birthday. Despite her high age she is still lively, just a bit deaf, her eyesight minimizes and a slight dementia gives a signal.

Heartfelt congratulation to this great girl, who founded the Chinese Crested breeding in this home. After her gallbladder surgery nearly a year ago the main wishes for her are continuing healthiness and to be joined by her for a long time.

We have lit candles ...... not because it is Christmas, but for our F litter which was born 14 years ago. Non of these Christmas angels is yet among us but they all are unforgotten, and our thoughts are with these eight great dogs and their owners. A year ago Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) was still with us, he was the last one of that litter who then, on 1/6/2014, went to his parents to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. And like all the others prior to him he is missed like on the first day.

Even though we ourselves are not in Christmas mood we wish all our friends and visitors of this site

Today we have received the terrible news that Kiara (KAIPIRINHA de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), a sister of our Courage, went over the Rainbow Bridge at the age of nearly eight and a half years after a short serious illness. Our thoughts are with her owner Elvira - we know too well how she feels now.

After many years finally a Briard from here was at a show: Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) for the first time in puppy class at the Duo-CACIB show in Komarom/HU. It was meant as a "training" to let the rascal envisige what might come ...... and itend with great success on both days - Best Puppy. Jag Junior was not only great in the hotel and on the show ground, also lively as known at home, but he also showed his best in the ring. He ran like a young profi. For his movement he was praised from the judges on both days. We are very proud of our youngest in the crew. Let's see to which show ring our next trip goes.

It is 17 years ago today that our B litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière was born ...... our special singleton, the first grey born black Briard in the Austrian Briard breeding history ...... and on the World Animal Protection Day. Our puppies from the P litter are now in the 6th week of life and have already been outside in the garden.

June 16, 2014:

Today we had nice mail in our mailbox, now it is official: we got the certificate of FCI about the International Beauty Championship of Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi). This is the SIXTH Championship of our girl which she gained in a time frame of not even 2 years. Needless to say how proud we are of the girl, and of course also of the handling by our friend Dorka to all the success.

Perfect timing for adding also this title to the pedigrees of our P litter.

We had some birthdays during the past days:

• Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO), our very first Chinese Crested, celebrated his 9^th birthday on May 21,
• Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED  4SPEED), our successful own bred boy, was 3 years on 26 May, and
• Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER), the dam of our O litter, had her 6^th birthday yesterday on June 7.

Of course all of them were spoiled more than they are usually.

May 29, 2014:

We tried to be without a black Briard for some months now, but it did not work. So on May 27, 2014, we could welcome our new family member which was picked up from France after a short holiday: JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu. We are thrilled with this beautiful and self-confident boy. Thanks so much to our friend Corinne for letting us be owned by this sweet treasure. And of course it was once again so nice to stay with Corinne and her family for some days and enjoy the great hospitality. Hopefully we can meet again in the near future.

Jag Junior entered this house and all the other dogs accepted him immediately. On his very first afternoon in his new home he had already fun with the Chinese Crested and a day later he was introduced to our other Briard Courage who also likes the little boy very much.

We are so grateful that we got the opportunity to have a puppy out of a male we just adore and love since first sight. Jag Junior is loved dearly, a dream came true!!!

May 19, 2014:

Since May 15, 2014, we have offspring again. Our P litter. Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) gave birth to 3 puppies (2/1, all hairless) after Keanu (Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE).

All are doing fine, the puppies gain weight daily. The first photos of the litter can be found in the Photo Gallery .

Today there was again an award presentation and we did it again ...... for the third time in a row ...... Also in the year 2013 we have gained a placement in the competition Best Show Dog Toy Breed Club Austria 2013, namely the 2^nd place with a male bred by us: Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED). Therewith, Maverick is also No. 1 Chinese Crested Austria 2013.

Needless to say that we are mighty proud and happy that after Maverick's sire Keanu (Multi-Champ. WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) in 2011 and Memy (Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) in 2012 now even a dog bred by us won the running for the Best Chinese Crested Austria.

INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) and her handler Dorka rocked once again in the ring today: Exc. 1, Class Winner (CAC), Winners Bitch (CACIB) and BOB with a strong concurrence (13 Chinese Crested entered). Lots of thanks to honorable judge Istvan Csik, who procured with the Winners Bitch that Memy fulfills all conditions for the International Beauty Champion of FCI. Therewith, Memy gained her sixth championship at the age of not even three years .

Then, in the group ring Memy and Dorka were short listed. Thanks in this place to honorable judge Péter Harsányi that he had considered a placement of this team. Both presented a pretty look. Thanks to Dorka for the perfect handling. A real priceless final for the at least temporary show rest of Memy because now the younger dogs from here have a turn.

Three birthdays in a row:

Today our Secret (Explicit's SINS AND SECRETS FOR CAIPIRINHA'S) is two years. Happy birthday to the sweet hairball.

Yesterday our special girl celebrated her 9^th birthday: Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA), THE girl who founded our Chinese Crested breeding, THE girl who was the first one in this kennel with not only gaining the International Beauty Championshipt, but also champion titles in some countries, THE girl who brought great dogs with her offspring, of which we can be very proud. The most heartfelt congratulation to our big treasure!!! We are grateful for the daily joy she brings to this home, and that we are owned by her. A repeated thanks goes to her breeders who entrusted us this great girl at the age of 15 months.

And on February 8 our O litter celebrated the 2^nd birthday. All the best to Macho (ONE MAN STANDING), Gatsby (ONE OF HIS OWN), Freya (OUT OF REACH), Esprit (ON CLOUD No1), Story (ON SILENT WINGS), Sly (OVER THE TOP) and Minu (ONE HOT MINUTE).

Yesterday our eagerly anticipated new family member has arrived after a long flight. Happiness was big to welcome little Emily-Rose/Emmy (Explicit's SHUT UP I'M STILL TALKING) here in the family. After she had slept sound and long she has already friended all the other ones here. She is a very cheerul, funny and eager to learn girl who keeps all the family busy.

January 22, 2014:

Today it was meant to say good-bye to Macho (Caipirinha's ONE MAN STANDING), who started his long trip to the USA early in the morning with our friend Marlene. He will be very much missed ...... it is not easy to let a nearly 2 years old dog go ...... a part of the heart has gone with him. But he has a great home where he is loved and in best hands. In summer there will hopefully be a reunion. Macho has arrived safe in the "stopover" and will continue his to his new family tomorrow by car.

All the best dear Macho, have lots of fun and joy in your new home, and lots of success when you are in the show ring.

It is 13 years today that our first Briard boy, Sándor (Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) left to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. It was him who made us adicted to this breed. We still miss this "gentleman" so much. ...... A candle has been lit.

January 10, 2014:

The first birthdays this year: It is five years today that our L litter was born, and four years ago the M litter was born. Happy Birthday to all the kids from these two litters.

January 6, 2014:

This is a very sad day as we had to open our arms and say good-bye to our beloved and special Briard boy Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière). He was the very last direct offspring of our so very much missed Yazoo (Sél. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire). Another piece of our heats is broken, and with this passing another wonderful epoche of our lives is over. He was the first born of our F litter and the last one to go. ...... Frizzy was full of energy all his life long and had a huge desire to live: stomach surgery at the age of 5 months because of swallowed stones, major tumor surgery at the age of 9 years and another major stomach and intestinal surgery at the age of 12.5 years because of a swallowed stuffed toy. Within only 10 days he was back to himself and surprised our vet with being very active again. The boy will be cremated on January 8, 2014, and his urn will be placed besides his mother and other dearly missed family members.

Frizzy, you will be very much missed, but in our hearts you'll live forever and all the memories will make us strong to go through this time of grief. Thanks that you owned us for 13 years and 14 days, thanks for your unconditional love, and thanks that you were such a great companion for all the four pawed family members in this house - no matter if tiny, small or big.  Run free with your mother, your siblings and all the family members on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Today we remember our Briard F litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière and we have lit a candle. It is 15 years ago that these eight have been born. Our Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière), who has left us nearly two years ago to go to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, is missed like on the first day. The memories of 13 wonderful years with this great boy are only a little comfort ......

Finally we have sunshine again and the dogs can enjoy the garden. There are some new snapshots in the Briard photo galleries: Jebelle (JEGBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) in the garden and in the evening in the house in the Photo Gallery Jebelle (Youth). Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) in the morning sat down at the table where we always have our meals - of course this scene was photographically recorded and the picture is now in the Photo Gallery Jag Junior (grown-up). Our oldest lady Courage (Champ. KAHLUA de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) enjoyed the sun's rays on the verandah, so also from her there is a new photo in the Photo Album Courage.

October 25, 2015:

With tears in our eyes we remember our little princess Gizmo (JESMINA GIZMO Kasiterit), this sweet girl with a heart like a lion. She was born in 1998, three years ago she went to all the others from here to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

She is still missed like on the first day, she was such a great enrichment for this pack. The glow of a candle shall show her that we are thinking of her ......

October 21, 2015:

Now it is official: Our Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) was awarded the title International Beauty Champion by the FCI on October 5. Today we had the certificate and diploma in the mailbox.

Maverick was only shown 14 times: 1 day in February 2012, double show in October 2012, 4 days show in May 2013, double show in July 2013, absolutely NO show in 2014, 1 day in Mayi 2015 and double show in June 2015 - and that was it. He gained this success: 11 CAC (class winner), 8 CACIB (Winners Dog), 4 BOB and 4 BOS. At his very first show at the age of nearly 9 months he was 2012 Best Puppy In Show Budapest, furthermore, he went 2013 Transilvania Winner, 2012 second best show dog of the Austria toy breed club and Best Chinese Crested Austria 2013. This way he gained three European championships (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary) and the FCI International Beauty Champion. For us this success of Maverick is amazing with so few shows, and we are happy that he stepped a bit into the paw prints of his sire Keanu (Multi-Champ. WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE - 15 championships and other titles at the age of not even 6 years) and his dam Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA - 4 championships and other titles, her show carreer only started at the age of 16 months). Maverick is ourr FIRST own bred FCI International Champion, we need not mention that we are so proud of this boy. Next year we want to try if we can have more success with Maverick.

October 20, 2015:

Today our guest Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY SOM) celebrates his 11^th birthday, the oldest Chinese Crested in the pack. Happy Birthday dear Steel.

The small boy has recovered fully from his surgery in August and runs around as if nothing had ever happened. We thank his breeder Barbara Fischer that she bred such a great boy physically and mentally strong.

And we also have a memorial day: It would be the birthday of Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) - she was born in 1992 and was our third Briard, daughter of our Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) and our Arwa Z. (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1). She is also missed like all the others who left already. A candle has been lit for her.

October 11, 2015:

Back home from the International show in Komarom/HU we can proudly report that our Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) has competed today for the first time with adults in the show ring. He won his class and went Winners Dog (CAC and CACIB). Until now we were always lucky ones with the weather in Komarom, last year even sunshine and we could enjoy the warmth with short sleaved shirts. This year it was meant to be different: Rain, rain and once again rain - all day long. To keep Jag Junior dry at his walks before the show appearance, right in the morning I bought a rain coat for him, and the paws were fastly blow dried before we went to the ring.

Unfortunately the photos of Jag Junior's ring appearance are not too good but we thank Sylwia from Poland that she sent us two pictures which are now in the Photo album - Jag Junior Shows.

That was it for this year but of course we hope that the boy can continue this way next year.

October 4, 2015:

Batida (BATIDA DE COCO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) was born 18 years ago as our B litter. In rememberance of her we have lit a candle.

October 3, 2015:

Our most successful Chinese Crested celebrates his 9^th birthday today, All the very best for our Keanu (Multi-Champ. WL THE DEVILS ADVOCATE). This great boy was a win for us: we are happy that he owns us and daily gives us his overall love.

Keanu is the sire of our litters N, O and P.

On August 30,  Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid) would have celebrated her birthday, Arwa B. (ARWA Betkin dvor) has gone to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge two years ago on August 27,  and August 23, was the dying day of Yazoo (Sel. LOULOU des Cèdres de la Montagne Noire, CGC). We have lit candles for all of them, and all of them are unforgotten and indescribable missed, but it's still the worst with Yazoo. ......

August 16, 2015:

Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) is recovering well after his surgery. Each and every day he uses his left leg more. During the day he must unfortunately wear the plastic collar as he starts licking his wound immediately, but in the night it is spared to him and he gets a soft jammy which covers the scar.

August 12, 2015:

Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) had an accident which caused a hip luxation, and he needs surgery today. Because of his age (he'll be 11 years in October) the vet decided that it would be too complicated to get the hip into correct position again, so he'll remove the head of femur. The muscle will replace the joint.

The surgery went well, in the late afternoon Steel came back home again and since the evening he walks a bit aound. Every now and then he even puts weight on the operated leg. On August 24, he shall get rid of the stitches. Fingers are tightly crossed for a good healing and that Steel can run again and enjoy his life.

It is six years ago today that we had to say farewell to Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid) totally unexpected. We have lit a candle and our thoughts are with her on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. She is still missed like on the first day. ..........

Nine years ago on July 12, our last Briard litter - the K litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière out of Zabou (ALOAZABOU du Noble Nid) and Talis (Multi-Champ. Sel. TALISMANIK de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) - was born. Happy Birthday to Chica (K'QUIERES CHICA) in Belgium, Grisu (KALAHARI GRISU) in Austria, Heart (KEY-TO-MY-HEART) in the USA, Courage (Champ. KAHLUA) here with us and Chili (KANDIS CHILI) in Austria. We mainly wish you healthiness and many more nice years in your families. For Kiara (KIARA CAIPIRINHA) we have lit a candle; she went much too early in December 2014 to her parents on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

 

And on July 1, it was nine years ago that Apollo (APOLLO de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) went over the Rainbow Bridge. We have also lit a candle for him.

June 22, 2015:

A successful show weekend in Hungary is behind us: Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) has been shown at the double CACIB show in Nemezetközi-Velence on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday he was Exc. 1, CAC, CACIB (Winners Dog), BOB, Sunday he was Exc. 1, CAC, Res. CACIB (Reserve Winners Dog). With the great result on Saturday Maverickfulfills the conditions for the FCI International Beauty Champion. Maverick is our first own bred Internationl Champion. A heartfelt thank you once again to our friend Dorka who handled Maverick really great, and of course thanks to the judges who gave the great results. Terézia has sent some photos from the Saturday show and from Dorka we received two nice pictures of Sunday (thank you!) which can now be seen in the Photo Gallery of Maverick.

When we look back we can really be very proud of the success of that young male: February 2012 BIS Puppy in Budapest, October 2012 Champion of Bulgaria, July 2013 Champion of Hungary, September 2013 Champion of Romania and Transilvania Winner, 2013 Best Chinese Crested Austria and second best show dog of the Toy Breed Club Austria, from October 2013 until April 2015 not shown, June 2015 International Champion. To the Championships of Hungary and Romania he was owner-handled, the other results Dorka gained with him. Now it is meant to think in which other countries we will show the boy.

It was great again to meet lots of friends in Hungary and spend two great days with them. A special thank you goes to our friend Judit where Maverick and I stayed since Friday and where I was spoiled with totally excellent food, Maverick with cuddles. We are looking forward to our next visit in Hungary.

June 7, 2015:

Today we celebrate the birthday of Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER). She is 9 years young. Happy Birthday sweet mouse!

Finally it is warm and the sun is shining. It was about time to set up the paddling pool for the dogs. However, it was only the two Briards Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) who were fully delighted. As they had so much fun limitless photos have been taken from their water games.

Therefore, the new Photo Gallery Water games Jag & Jebelle has been set up. Have fun when watching.

May 26, 2015:

The next birthday is celebrated: Our own bred Multi-Champion dog Maverick (Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) is 4 years young. The most heartfelt congratulations to our great boy.

Of course also Happy Birthday to his siblings of the N litter: Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY), Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) and Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE). Unfortunately we don't know anything about Toulouse, where he is and how he is doing, as we have sadly and by necessity lost him out of sight after his first owner placed him. We hope imploringly that he is having a great life and is healthy and cheerfully.

May 25, 2015:

Today we have finally been at a show again, namely with both the Briards Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) and Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu). We drove to Mosonmagyaróvár/Hungary to a CAC Show - a trip of only one and a half hours. Unfortunately, the weather was not co-operating when we passed the Hungarian border, and therefore, the ground in the whole show area was a mush and water. With effort the dirt could be removed from the dog legs before the show started but the legs did not dry unfortunately because it only stopped to rain when the show had begun (we must shop - even if with reluctance - probably "shoes" for the both). And I walked around with wet feet from the time as everything was put up near the ring, because my shoes were not laid out for so much moisture. There was also not really place to go walking the dogs and it was tremendously complicated by the bad ground situation.

The show ring was very small, and ring side there were some aggressive dogs who complicated the appearance of our both inexperienced dogs a bit. It was probably not the best idea to show both dogs when being alone at a show. Certainly we won't do something like this in the near future as long as both the dogs don't have more experience. Luckily a nice couple was willing to have the second dog near the ring entrance so that I could change them fast.

Still both succeeded with great results: Jag Junior went Junior Winner and Best Junior (it was only his third show after a break of 7 months), Jebelle left the ring as Best Puppy (for her it was the very first show).

It is not quite correct to leave the show before the end, but both the dogs were long enough in the crates and in bad weather and thus we did not wait for the final competitions to go the final ring with Jebelle. Both should get experience and then things will be different. All in all, however, still very nice success with both the dogs. We are going to train them now, Jebelle will have a longer break until Jag Junior has got more experience, and then we'll see if there is an opportunity to travel again with both.

May 15/16/18/21, 2015:

On May 15, our P litter celebrated the first birthday. Happy Birthday to Prada, Pagani and Porsche. And May 21, was the 10^th birthday of our first Chinese Crested - Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO). Also to him our heartfelt congratulations and wishes for continuing healthiness as well as the wish for many more years with him.

On May 16, it was 6 years ago that our Whoopy (EXCUSE-MOI WHOOPY de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) went to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge , May 18, would have been her and the birthday of our E litter (Briards de la Maison du Garde-Barrière). We have lit a candle for all the 6 of that litter, and our thoughts are also with their owners who all miss their darlings.

May 14, 2015:

As the weather was good, but also at the occasion of the half year birthday of Jebelle (JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) lots of pictures have been taken from her and Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu). Again days of memories: on April 13, it was two years ago that Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) went over the Rainbow Bridge, and it was April 14, 2010, when we had to let go Oh-Lala (Multi-Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille). On April 22, was the birthday of Arwa Z. (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1), and on April 23, it was two years ago that Gizmo's son Amaretto went to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge . For all of them candles have been lit in remembrance.

April 8, 2015:

Yesterday the weather was again nice and pics of Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) at his play time were taken. They are now in his Photo Gallery (Jag Junior - Youth).

Today we celebrate the birthday of our G litter, the kids of Oh-Lala (Multi-Sel. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille) and Jolly Jumper Gris des Monts d'en Crauzille. All the very best to Aysha (G'Aysha Blonde de la Maison du Garde-Barrière). For all the other ones we have lit a candle as they have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Andit would also be the birthday of Sambo (SAMBO de la Chaume du Bois Dieu), who unfortunately could only have the life we would have had deserved only for about one year. Our thoughts are also with him and a candle is burning for him.

Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) celebrates his first birthday today. Unbelievable, how fast time flies by! For us it seems that it was just a few days ago that we picked him up from France. Needless to say that this great boy is spoiled very much today. Happy Birthday Jag!!! And by this way we also send our congratulations to his great brothers and sisters..

On Februry 25, 2014, our last Yorkshire Terrier girl, little Absinth, passed away. On February 28, was Samson's (UGO de la Morne Plaine) birthday. Our C litter (Briards de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) was born 17 years ago on March 3. Marko, our German Shepherd, had his birthday on March 4. And on March 15, it was 10 years ago that Samson left us. All of them were an important part of our family, are still missed very much and unforgotten forever. Our thoughts were with them on each of those memorial days - more than usually ..........

February 14, 2015:

Back home from a wonderful short holiday in France ...... with a new family member. We are thrilled that we could include a fawn Briard girl to our "pack": JEBELLE de la Chaume du Bois Dieu. A photo gallery with some pictures has been set up: Photos Jebelle.

A heartfelt thank you to our friend Corinne for entrusting us for the third time a dog from her kennel, and that we are allowed to be owned by this pretty, sweet and strong characterd girl. And as always, thanks a lot for the great days with Corinne's family and the great hospitality! Hopefully there will be soon another chance for a reunion.

The long trip home (1.197 km) ran perfectly, Jebelle did not make any sound, and when we stopped for a rest she was happy about the short walks. Here in the house she felt comfortable immediately, Jag Junior (JAG LE CANNIBAL JUNIOR de la Chaume du Bois Dieu) is thrilled and the Chinese Crested manage how to let her know that she must not be too rude with them. Also the first night was absoluely no problem - just as the nights in France, where Jebelle could already join me. A real great enrichment for our family!

February 11/12, 2015:

Two birthdays outright: Ula (Multi-Champ. Family Song's ULA) celebrated her 10^th birthday on February 11, and Secret (Explicit's SINS AND SECRETS FOR CAIPIRINHA'S) turned to be three years on February 12. The most heartfeld congratulation to our two darlings which were of course very much spoiled.

   

January 31, 2015:

Today it is 21 years ago that the first Briard litter was born in this kennel, the A litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière out of our very first boy Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) and the female rescued at the age of 4.5 years from Slovakia Arwa (ARWA Zevar CS, SchH 1) who was the second female in this house. Beautiful memories, unforgotten great dogs, ..........

One boy from this litter came back here on April 15, 2005, because of the health issues of his owners: Apollo. We were allowed to join him for a bit more than a year until July 1, 2006, when he made the journey over the Rainbow Bridge.

At the occasion of the birthday of this litter we have lit a candle and think of Apollo, Aramis, Aristide, Aron, Atos, Akira and Alysha.

January 26, 2015:

Today we were for the patella check with Secret (Explicit's SINS AND SECRETS FOR CAIPIRINHA'S). She has strong, stable, perfect knees and therewich the certificate Patella 0/0. SUPER!

January 24,  2015:

Today Jaris (HAPPY JARIS Dandy Mate) celebrates her 7^th birthday. A heartfelt congratulation to our little fur mouse.

January 23, 2015:

Another memorial day ...... today would be the birthday of Oh-Lala (Sél. OH-LALA des Monts d'en Crauzille) ...... we have lit a candle for her ......

January 13, 2015:

A candle has been lit for Sándor (Rec. Champ. SÁNDOR von Anitzberg) ...... it is 14 years ago that he went over the Rainbow Bridge.

January 10, 2015:

Today the L litter is 6 years and the M litter 5 years. Happy birthday to the 12 from here.

January 6, 2015:

It is one year ago that our Frizzy (FRIZZANTE FURIOSO GRIS de la Maison du Garde-Barrière) went over the Rainbor Bridge. We miss him like on the first day. The light of the lit candle shall show him that we are with him in our thoughts and will never forget him.
